great for the throwaway price- but 7 months to deliver!

It's great value for the money. The problem is these cheap specs took 7 months to reach me.

Very good value specs - but not very high, so you might be aware of lens frames at top and bottom. Also a screw became loose and get lost from a nose bridge piece.

they offered to fix if I would ship back to China and that would take a month to turn around. I popped the lens back in. you get a great deal but, when you buy it, you own it. all and all good item as stated, could have "spring" henges though.

I have been buying these glasses for some time and I have noticed that the quality is not as good as it was; the lenses pop out of the frame quite frequently now, and they never did before. Also, there was the silliness when I was sent one pair with an incorrect prescription, and then you argued that it was somehow my fault.

Far better than expected

I was not expecting much for the price but just wanted a cheap pair of glasses for work. I was therefore very pleased when they arrived to find the quality was every bit as good as the 'high street' glasses I have been using. The service was also excellent. I have now ordered more.

Very low price, no problems with quality as it is above what could be expected at the price. The only bad point is the very slow delivery, if you don't mind waiting 3 or 4 weeks you will be pleased with the result.

reading / computer specs

i am very happy with my specs, perfect for reading and on my computer, however my 1st pair came with black rims instead of gunmetal, i did contact you but had no mention of sending me the right frames. but seeing that your specs are so cheap i decided to order another pair of gunmetal frame specs, and keep the black frames for spare.

Took longer than stated to arrive but I was very pleased with the quality of the spectacles given the price I paid.

For someone that is not interested in 'status' designer glasses but just wants a decent, solid pair of glasses, these are unbeatable. As for the lenses, the prescription appears to have been fulfilled perfectly.

I have been using over-the-counter reading glasses since losing my old specs and was getting eye-ache and headaches. All this is gone - these glasses 'work' perfectly.

Do the job and a good price

At the price of these glasses I wasn't expecting perfect but they are certainly up to the job. They do tend to sit lower on my nose than my old glasses so I have to push them back up now and again. The arms are very thin so they're not quite as easy to keep on. The main issue I would have is that anything off dead centre appears slightly out of focus so I find myself having to turn my head more than I did with my other glasses. All in all though they are good value and are good enough for the job.

I bought five pairs, not sure which I'd prefer. These were the most flimsy and I haven't been game to wear them too much yet.

I normally wear verifocal lenses and pay high price at spacsavers. By chance from Internet I came to know about SELECTSPECS and surprised specially the coatings they offer. Just for try I ordered single distance lense with cheapest price frame for only £14 - Arrived at specified time - service was excellent and the pair was beautiful in all aspects - except for coating antismudge and hydrophobic treatment I could not make up ( may be i ordered cheapest frame ) But I will surelly order my verifocal when time comes and would recomend to all my friends . First time ordered glasses online

This is the first time that I have ordered glasses without buying them from the opticians where I had my sight test. I therefore went for a lower priced item to check it out. I must say that quality is excellent and a fraction of the cost of high street prices. Will definately order future glasses from Selectspecs.

Awesome glasses

I received these glasses and upon initial inspection I found the arms on the glasses to be quite thin and bendable. This caused me concern that they may be weak/cheap/easy to break. Then I put on the glasses. I made no adjustments from the time I unpacked them to the time I put them on. These are the most comfortable glasses I've ever worn. The thin/wiggly/bendable arms are the perfect strength to sit on your head without being able to feel them practically, yet they hold on better than any other pair I've owned. As for how easy they are to break, I don't feel like testing that out, but so far they've been great. I'm going to pick up 2 more pairs just because they're that good and that affordable.

The last time I bought glasses from an optician I paid 8 times more, yet the style and quality of these specs is just the same! Excellent all round service and product.

My glasses were for the above frame and I had bifocal lenses. When they arrived I put them on everything was perfect. When I need other glasses will definitely use SelectSpecs again.

My order took over 3 weeks to arrive. I contacted customer services after two weeks after placing the order and got a quick reply, and then I got regular updates since. Considering how much I paid for the pair of glasses, I can't complain.

These intermediate spectacles - for computer use - matched my prescription requirements perfectly. The fact that higher refractive index, anti-reflection and scratch resistance were included in the price was a real bonus.

Someone who wears glasses!

I usually buy a couple of pairs from here every year (I do a lot of manual work, welding / grinding, so lenses get scratched up pretty quick). Normally I can't find fault with the £12 glasses, BUT... the quality has been going down on every order... The first order had sprung arms, the next order were just normal glasses, and this order... although still good value for money, the latest ones (Savannah 3215) have really crappy flimsy (not much more than 14AWG wire!) arms... OK, for me if the arms last longer than the lenses, but if not, might shop around? Also, checking the site, the glasses in the photo have nice substantial arms, whereas what I received look completely different...

excellent - & incredibly cheap!

I'm not keen on small frames as I prefer to have as wide a field of focused vision as possible but, being on a tight budget, I bought these as they were pretty much the biggest frames in the ultra-cheap range. Luckily I've found that, because I wear my lenses very close to my eyes (for more accurate correction of my eyesight by my lenses), I do indeed have a wide field of vision with these frames. The frames are of high quality - I've had 3 pairs of these in different colours (for different strengths of lenses for use when focusing at different distances, doing different work - much more useful to me than vari-focal lenses, which I tried once years ago & couldn't get used to) & none of them have shown any weakness. The frames are also easy to adjust to fit - I bend the arms so that my glasses can't fall off if I'm working upside-down (painting awkward places!) or in strong winds (my outdoor pair) &, unlike most people, I also squash the nose pads to the frame to allow my lenses to be nearer my eyes. I've also been told that they look stylish & up-to-date fashion-wise but, not being interested in fashion, that wasn't my priority! - but it's always a nice added bonus!

Excellent buy, high quality

This order came free because I had previously received a pair of glasses with a slightly wrong prescription. As soon as I stated the problem, SelectSpecs immediately offered and sent out a new pair. No questions; no arguments. The only problem with the new pair was that I had asked for gunmetal and they sent me silver color. That is a rather minor complaint.

Prescription Sunglasses at a fraction of High Street prices.

As long as you have a recent prescription for glasses this is a value for money service. Easy to select frames, easy to choose lens type and insert the required information. The cost is unbelievably good. I shall be using this option for all my glasses from now on!

Good value

Bought prescription intermediates purely for computer use as my varifocals were difficult to get used to because the intermediate part of the lens is very small and necessitated me tilting my head back slightly. The Selectspecs lenses are pretty good, but I do have to have the screen a littler closer than before; having said that, this means they are ideal for reading as well. Build quality is OK, on a par with supermarket reading glasses, but £12 for 2 pairs plus £4 postage is excellent value for money, so no complaints.

A good pair of specs,they look great on and only 6 British pounds,what a bargain. The lens quality is great. Very bright and the frames look a lot more expensive than six pounds. This is my third time using selectspecs,and it wont be my last. Well done and also thanks for the quick delivery.

Comfortable, lightweight and durable

I bought these glasses for intermediate range viewing during computer use at work. They are comfortable and lightweight and I am very pleased with the visual accuracy, therefore the value for money is definitely very good!!

Good value single vision glasses

I was looking for a couple of pairs of low cost single vision glasses to replace some that broke at the bridge recently. I chose Savannah 3215 in gunmetal. The price including all coatings was excellent. Delivery from china was somewhat extended but that was expected. They were held up further in customs who added duty and handling charges. The package also arrived with a sticker from customs that said "found open may be damaged" but fortunately the contents were intact. Overall a good service, quality and price from selectspecs, i have used them in the past and will continue to do so in the future.
