Vista Prescription Glasses, 2652.

Not usable because of minor scratch marks of same shape and size in all three pairs

My family is a regular user of Select Specs and we have bought many pairs till date without any problems. This time I ordered seven pairs out of which three were Vista 2652. All three can't be used because of a scratch mark (or rather rubbing sign) of exactly same shape and size in right lens in between the center and lower left of it. The scratch is not visible outright but can be found when held at a special angle, but it creates problem in vision. Marks are exactly identical and you can easily make out that this would have been caused by some machine while in production. Frame looks fabulous, its a shame I can't wear them. My other four pairs of Savannah 2336 are perfect.

Good quality lens. only reason for giving 4 star on quality is that they dont go round the ears very well. But thats mostly because they are very light.

Found the website straight forward to use. Placed an order and received confirmation on payment but it took selectspecs over a month to produce and deliver the specs. Had to contact them 15 days in as there was no progress on order. Overall the specs are good for the price but if your willing to wait the time. I defiantly think they could improve on the time they take to produce and ship products.

after wearing glasses since they could get them on my nose... 49 years, this is the 1st time in recent years i have not felt like I have been taken for a ride having to pay for something i really need. I have actually been able to purchase a style i have in the past only dreamed about as normally it would have cost me 3x as much for 1 pair..will be back for next pair these are great value and so comfortable and stylish

Absolutely delighted with these rimless specs. Only £20 inc delivery so they are absolutely tremendous value. The silver frame means that they are almost invisible which is surely the point of rimless. If I was to be hyper-critical the only thing I could say is that the arms seem just a tiny bit on the flimsy side but in fairness this means that they are so lightweight you barely notice you are wearing them. Great service, no issues with the delivery time, kept informed by email and updates on the website. Do yourself a favour do not consider going anywhere else Thank you!

good quality varifocals at a fair price

my first pair of rimless glasses, I have a high prescription so i ordered the x thin lenses. the overall width measurement said 120mm but they are in fact 126 mm which means my lenses are far thicker than i anticipated and the glasses much wider than i required.

What you order is what you get.

Very inexpensive glasses, but tints and bifocals are as expensive as the high street.

Excellent company to deal with

Although the glasses took longer than expected to arrive I was very pleased with them when they did. They seem to be good quality and supplied at a fraction of the high street price. I would recommend this company to people. Why pay inflated prices?

Not my thing

These rimless glasses seem a bit flimsy, plus the pads on the nose stand out in the corner of my eye and distract me. Probably could get used to that, but I guess they're just not my type of glasses.

These are great glasses! I'm so happy with them. I bought them to try as I've never had rimless glasses before. I expected them to be of reasonable quality, but when I opened the case I was taken aback at the quality of these glasses! They are so light and comfortable. The legs are made of springy metal (looks and feels the same as memory metal), and the lens quality is superb. Bought them to wear for driving, but will be wearing them the whole time now! Will definitely be buying another pair in the near future. After all, for £15 or so, these are a bargain. For the quality of these glasses, I would have expected to pay 10 times this price!

Good quality and cheap glasses, but brown Transitions are poor.

I got the Transitions in brown and i am very disappointed as there not brown and if they are, they are very hardly noticeable, they look like normal coloured sunglasses and have since found out that they dont work in the car, so i will have to find a cheap alternative to use in my car, that was never mentioned either, so so dissapointed i will never buy a pair of transitions again.

With regards to not working while in a car, the car windscreen is UV coated so Transitions will not function - we make note of this within our lens selection process.

For in car use, we recommend the XTRActive Transition Lenses, these lenses give partial activation behind the windscreen of a car. We also highly recommend polarised lenses for driving, these are dark and reduce surface reflections in bright sunglight.

My prescription had changed, so went online and ordered these specs for reading and computer work. I'm delighted with my purchase. I definitely will come back and have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

I am very pleased with the glasses I purchased, they are a high quality and excellant value for money.

Although I am more than happy with my glasses I somehow expected the lenses not to be so rectangular looking with fairly sharp corners, so maybe I should examine the photographs more closely. They are only used for reading so I do not have them on all the time. I intend to stay with selectspecs for my future needs.

Excellent basic frameless specs

I bought these as I'm a motorcyclist and can't wear varifocals so need single vision. I need good support for peripheral vision (these are just right) and thin arms to slide into a very tight Arai helmet. While I have slight issues with adjusting the arms - they are very thin - and they are a little wide for my narrow face, they do the job perfectly, if being a little loose outside the helmet. Style? Well, as my wife said, they just disappear on your face and that's why you choose frameless! They seem fairly robust overall and I should get a good 1-2 years out of them, which is great for this price point.

My glasses turned out great. My only regret is that having rimless I should have selected a silver colour, not black, for the frames.

Excellent value for a quality product

I am now on my third pair of specs from Selectspecs and have to say all have been excellent. I tend to be a little careless with my specs and so it is reassuring to know that i can get a replacement quality pair without paying the astronomical prices charged by high Street opticians. I used to feel embarrassed when I was handed my prescription and felt obliged to look at the stuff on offer; not purchasing then became even more embarrassing. No such problem now, take the prescription, say thank you and walk out of the opticians and straight on the web to Selectspecs. Easy. Delivery is a little longer but they always arrive in around two weeks and they do come all the way from China (good quality stuff though)

sadly the nose pad to the right eye fell out, resulting in the glasses falling off and a lens sustaining a scratch. New eye pads now in place and all is well....

Bargain Glasses

Incredibly good value for a rimless pair of specs. Whilst not the most stylish available they look fairly good. Undoubtedly worth buying for, even if you don't like them, they will be useful as a 'spare' pair. If/when my prescription changes I will be back for another pair.

Good value but not good quality

These glasses are very good value for money but the stopper in the screws came off which weakened the arms and in turn when the arms were opened they snapped off. This is the second pair and the same problem occurred. So i will not order them again. On the plus side customer services has provided very good support and replacements. Even though I have had problems with this style I will always buy from Select Specs

I am somewhat disappointed by this purchase because the specs were in production for 1 month before dispatch from Hong Kong. And please don't say that the prescription was complicated because it was little different from my previous orders.

Extra pair of reading glasses.

Excellent value, rapid service. Only further comment is that the reading distance was not requested, as far as I saw. The glasses give best reading focus a little nearer than my (very expensive vari-focals). This is the only reason for 4* overall. Could not fault them at all otherwise!

Why pay high street prices

This is now my sixth pair of glasses from you over the years, service and products are great. Why pay high street prices.

A little bigger than I expected.

These are perfectly good glasses, but the lenses are bigger than I expected from the photo. As I'm short-sighted, this means the glass at the edge of each lens is noticeably thick.

Very Disapointed

I bought these rimless glasses and paid extra for the ultra thin lens when they came they were 3 times thicker than the ones i get free from the nat health and now there trying to say they sent everything that was ordered..also the armes are very very thin but you get what you pay for wont buy again i'll stick with the free nhs ones

Needed glasses while I was abroad in a hurry - checked out delivery times etc with live chat and selectspecs were as good as their word. Pleased with my new glasses even though I opted for the cheapest frame - would like darker photochromatic lens but that is a small gripe compared with the style, weight and not to be forgotten, a price 60% less than the high street.

Great value for money
