Finding Sunglasses suitable for Prescription Lenses is simple. Simply look for the "OK for Prescriptions" box (displayed below) when searching through our collection of sunglasses. First select the product, then the option (colour) and then the size. Then continue by clicking on the "buy with prescription lenses" button where you will be asked to select your lens options and enter your prescription.
Q. The sunglasses I like do not display "RX Ready" box?
A. If a pair of sunglasses do not feature this box, then due to the type of the frame prescription lenses will not be suitable.
Q. What Tint Options are Available?
A. We currently have basic and graduated tints, polarised and photochromic options in various colours and light absorption levels. See the prescription page for more details.
Q. Can I have a pair of prescription sunglasses with clear lenses?
A. Certainly. To get these do not select a tint option and we will glaze your frames with clear prescription lenses.
Q. How long do Prescription Sunglasses take to complete?
A. Prescription Sunglasses may take from 1-4 weeks to complete. This is due to specialised glazing techniques required and frame availability.
Q. I have a pair of sunglasses with a damaged/scratched lens, can this be reglazed?
A. Certainly, we can reglaze sunglasses for non prescription use, simply select Plano as a lens option at the following step and select the sunglass tint option you require and add the item to your basket. Alternatively, if we can reglaze your sunglasses to include a prescription, you can either have a clear lens option or a sunglass tint option if required.
Please note: If your sunglasses are excessively curved then we may not be able to reglaze this item, please check with us by sending an image through our Customer Services system before you place your order so we can confirm.
When you buy a pair of designer sunglasses for use with prescription lenses your new frames need to be sent to our lab to have the prescription lenses fitted.
The following is a quick step-by-step process your order needs to go through before you receive your new sunglasses...
Once your new designer sunglasses have arrived at our lab the technician will remove the manufacturers tinted lenses from the sunglasses in order to glaze them with your prescription requirements.
Please Note: If you do not select a tint, polarised or photochromatic option with your order we will glaze your frames with clear lenses.
When the manufacturers lenses have been removed, the laboratory technician will proceed with tracing the sunglasses frame before cutting and fitting the new prescription lenses. The laboratory technician will also tint these lenses with a polarised or photochromatic option if this has been requested.
Your completed order is checked by the laboratory technician before being prepared for shipping to your delivery address.
