If you’re looking for a new movie to add to your ‘must watch’ list this summer, The Space Between Us is set to be a big-screen hit.

This 2016 movie that tells the story of Gardner Elliot. Played by Asa Butterfield, Gardner is the first ever human to be born on Mars. After 16 years, he decides to make his maiden voyage to earth where he hopes to find his father.

On Earth, he meets Tulsa (played by Britt Robertson), the girl with whom he had begun an online friendship with, and Tulsa and Gardner go on an adventure to discover all of the joys of life on Earth – with a few twists and turns along the way.

As you can see, The Space Between Us combines a captivating sci-fi fantasy with a classic boy-meets-girl love story which we can’t wait to see. However, here at SelectSpecs, eyewear is never far from our thoughts and throughout the movie trailer, we noticed some standout glasses styles – in particular, the cool clubmaster shades worn by the lead character. Being born on Mars, Gardner Elliot has some unique characteristics which make him a little different to normal humans. After his journey to Earth, he is seen shading his unaccustomed eyes from the direct sunlight with a pair of large shield sunglasses. However, when he goes on the run, Gardner gets an all-together more stylish eywear look.

Finally, we couldn’t talk about the eyewear in this movie without mentioning the glasses worn by Gary Oldman’s character. Oldman plays Nathaniel Shepherd, a scientist and one of Gardner’s guardians, who wears not one, but two pairs of statement specs throughout the film.
