Judging by the host of trendsetting eyewear worn at Coachella over the weekend, one of the new emerging looks for summer shades this year is colour. Bright pink frames, or ice blue arms and polarized lenses – it’s out with the classic black and in with all the colours in the rainbow. There’s many variations in styling this trend, here’s some of our favourites:
MARC by Marc Jacobs MMJ 455/S in Pink
Cat-eye -check. Oversized -check. Colour – check: drawing in three timeless trends we see every season, MARC by Marc Jacobs do not shy away with this pink and white pair. Ray-Ban RB2140 Original Wayfarer in Blueberry
Around for nearly 80 years and still the front runner in modern designs; Ray-Ban have released their original and heavily popular wayfarer in Blueberry, Strawberry, Mint and Grape. Inspired by Becky Tong at Coachella (pictured below) we’ve picked out the Blueberry in their Ice Pop series who mixes it well with a printed dress, white jacket and black bag.

Chloé CE114S in Gold and Transparent Peach
Worn by the likes of Rita Ora, Marina from Marina & the Diamonds and Beyoncé; round frames are officially in. Chloé’s pretty pastel pair, shown here in Gold and Transparent Peach, are easily added when you’re injecting colour elsewhere in your outfit. Have a closer look here.
Carrera 6000/L in Crystal and Multilayer Pink
As a rule it’s not only the frame of your sunnies that holds the power to inject colour; polarized lenses are coming back in a big way this summer and a perfect example are the above pair by Carrera. Crystal transparent with a shot of full pink polarized lenses, looks great with black, white and monochrome outfits.
