For SS16, Miu Miu have joined forces with photographer Steven Meisel once again to show off their amazing new eyewear collection. The spring/summer campaign brings the collection to life with a series of stylish portrait shots, featuring actresses Millie Brady, Julia Garner, Matilda Lutz and India Salvor Menuez, which the fashion house recently shared to their Instagram account.
Miu Miu are known for their fashion-forward and playful look and their eyewear is no different. Over the years, their unique and avante-garde designs have joined the ranks as some of the most popular ‘it’ sunglasses around, worn by countless celebrities.
The new campaign keeps things simple, putting the focus on Miu Miu’s amazing new designs. Wearing minimal makeup and relaxed hairstyles, the models were photographed against a plain grey background, ensuring that all eyes are on their fabulous frames. Not dissimilar to last year’s autumn/winter campaign, the photos also have a slightly retro 70’s vibe, which perfectly complements the new styles.

New ‘Noir’ Collection Sunglasses
Miu Miu’s Noir collection has become iconic since its introduction, and the new SS16 additions to the collection are sure to become favourites for the spring/summer season.
Described by the fashion house as “bright nuances” which convey an “ethereal feel”, the new collection has a light and airy feel, with slim metal arms and frames in a range of fresh colours.
One of the stand-out designs from the new collection is the Miu Miu MU 53RS as modelled above by India Salvor Menuez. These elegant shades feature cat-eye frames in mirrored ‘lily-of-the-valley’ pink with brown gradient frames, but are also available in classic black, amaranth purple and pale green.
Another new addition to the Miu Miu Noir collection are the MU 51RS sunglasses, below. These stylish shades feature retro-inspired rounded cat-eye frames combined with a contemporary transparent accetate finish. Choose from fern green, pale pink, bright blue or black.

Miu Miu aim to add a bit of sparkle to everyday with their new optical eyewear collection. Combining classic looks with a couture edge, simple thick-rimmed frames have been given a glamorous makeover with glittering pavé crystal embellishment on the temples. The Reveal collection offers a “creative interplay” with over-sized sheild lenses which overlap acetate frames.
