Polaroid Sunglasses: Only For Sporties?

The common assumption is that when it comes to sunglasses, Polaroid only has frames specially designed for sport activities such as running or cycling. This is only partly true as the brand has lots of outstanding frames aimed at athletes but Polaroid also cares about the fashion industry and will probably surprise you with the fact that it has a wide range of smart and trendy eyewear… and they’ve had it for quite a while as the advertisements below prove!

Do you still think Polaroid only caters for athletes? Polaroid has a bigger selection of polarised sunglasses than any other brand and it’s wonderful for polarised lense-addicts like me. If you have read some of my previous posts, you will have probably noticed that I simply love love love polarised shades!

The difference between polarised and unpolarised lenses is, plainly speaking, that the former are designed to increase visual perception by reducing the glare perceived by your eyes when it’s bright.  They completely eliminate that irritating dazzle that’s so annoying when walking on the promenade or by the lake, sunbathing on the beach, fishing or doing any activity by the water because they cut down on the glare coming from the sea or water. They are also advantageous when driving as they help reduce the glare coming from cars.

Having said that, there is a huge difference between polarised lenses so, before buying yours, it’s best to first think about what you will be using them for. Here you are a very helpful polarised sunglasses buying guide which I thoroughly recommend you read before browsing through SelectSpecs’ wonderful range of Polaroid polarised sunglasses.

Here you have a small selection of à la mode polarised and unpolarised sunglasses that you’d never think of being designed by Polaroid. I bet you’ll be also surprised at how affordable they are as none of the frames below are over £100!
