Poor Oakley quality
The styling of the frames itself is very nice and sporty.
However, the right side arms have completely melted down to a really disgusting yellow gooey material. This seems to be a well documented problem among users of this particular Oakley product. One would expect better quality considering the price tag. Luckily, this came with a spare set of side arms. However, if you wanted to replace it yourself, the side arms alone cost about 1/4 of the full price of the frames. Buyer beware.
This appears to be a common issue with Oakley Crosslinks and the rubber earsocks, however, we believe this to be caused by moisture (sweat and other skin oils) reacting with the rubber material on the arms. If the arms and rest of the frame are cleaned regularly, we feel the Oakley Crosslink will last a long time.
As to not alarm other customers, this review relates to a product bought nearly 3 years ago. Manufacturing processes may have improved in this time so this may be less of any issue than previously.
