lightweight no-hinge glasses
I like to make my reviews in bullet points, so here goes!
* About the weight:
Feel very lightweight - the frames weigh almost nothing - most of the weight is from the lenses.
* About the arms:
Note that these glasses do not have a hinge so they are always sprung open. One thing about non-hinge glasses is that when you wear them for a long time you realise they pinch your head ever so slightly behind your ears to stay on - only a little though, it's not really a problem, but I noticed it when swapping between these and normal hinged glasses. You get used to it though and then you don't notice it so much. The arms are very bendy so you can easily fit it into the provided cloth pouch or egg-like plastic case provided for storage. The arms are very very thin and quite easy to bend to adjust for a comfortable fit. The plastic ends of the glasses are a little loose. I found that when I had headphones on, and tried to take my glasses off whilst my headphones were on, the ear pieces were left behind my ears whilst the rest of the glasses came off - but it's easy to put it back together again. It would have been nicer if the ear pieces were more "set" into the glasses arms though, because every so often I find the ends need to be pushed back into place which is a little annoying. For this reason I knocked one star off the "Quality" star rating.
* About the comfort of wearing them:
Once you adjust the arms and nose bits for your head, they're very comfortable to wear.
(NB. I found that learning to adjust glasses in general can be a little tricky. If you need help, you could search online for tutorials, ask someone for help or take them in to an opticians to help you out.)
* About the colour:
I got these glasses in both brown and gold. I found the brown goes better with my dark coloured hair
* About the size of the lenses:
I'm used to wearing quite narrow rectangular glasses and these were definitely larger sized lenses than I'm used to, so it will take a little getting used to. It's only a few milimeters larger but turns out a few milimeters really makes a surpringingly big difference! Still looks nice though, and the larger lenses mean you don't see the edges of the glasses as much.
* Other notes: I got a little bit of fluff stuck in my glasses (and impossible to remove), lodged between the lens and the piece of thread that holds the lens in place on the "rimless" edge, from cleaning the lens with my clothes. From this, it reminded me of an obvious but important point: it's probably a good idea to just clean the glasses with a proper cleaning cloth that doesn't have any fluff on it rather than using your clothes.
A nice, good value, lightweight pair of glasses that I think would suit both guys and girls. The only imperfection for me is the glasses ear-ends that come off a little easily.
