Ordering Prescription Glasses, Prescription Sunglasses or Designer Sunglasses through SelectSpecs.com is easy, this page of information will detail the process in order to demonstrate how simple the ordering process from SelectSpecs.com can be!

Firstly, if you not already done so, please read the Finding a Product section for more information about finding the product you are looking for.  Once you have read this section we can continue...

 

 

Section 1 - Ordering Prescription Glasses

Step One
Once you have found a particular pair of Prescription Glasses that you wish to buy the next stage is to select the option you like, this selection can be made by either selecting the Select Option button or by scrolling down the page to the Select your option..., from here, make your selection by clicking on the Add Prescription button.

 

 

 

Step Two
The next stage is to choose your lens options and enter your prescription.

If you decide you only want to order a Frame Only, simply select the Frame Only tick box then scroll down the page and click Add to Cart.  These frames will be supplied with the manufacturers plast demo lenses which are not suitable for fashion wear.  Please note that the price displayed is the price for both Frame Only and Including Standard Prescription Lenses. 


For fashion wear we recommend ticking the Plano Lenses (no prescription) tick box under lens types, then adding that frame to your shopping cart.  These Plano Lenses replace the manufacturers plastic demo lenses.


For lens options, it is recommended that you select your choices in a left to right fashion, for example:

Lens Types  >  Optional Lenses  >  Photochromic Lenses  >  Optional Tints

Options that are not available due to selections you have made are not selectable (displayed in a light grey colour).  If you find you are unable to select a particular option such as 'Pink Photochromic' you can easily go back and change the Optional Lenses which will allow you to choose previously unavailable options.

 

Please be aware that prices of lens options automatically adjust based on options selected.

 

For Prescription Details, complete the form as displayed in your Prescription given to you by your optician.  Or if you would prefer, you can either scan and attatch your prescription to this page or post or fax it to us.  The final stage for this area is to add your PD, if you are unsure you can choose to send your glasses to us for a PD check (you must select the approriate tick box), or you can purchase a PD ruler from here and measure your PD yourself.  If there are any other additional comments regarding your prescription please make them known by completing the Additional Info box.

 

 

Step Three
With your prescription successfully entered, the last stage is to check over your prescription and lens options then click on Add to Cart.

 

 

With this item and any other items successfully added to your Shopping Cart, the final stage is to order your selected products.  Please see Section 3 - Final Payment Process below for more information.

 

 

 

Section 2 - Ordering Designer Sunglasses


Once you have found a particular pair of Designer Sunglasses that you wish to buy the next stage is to select the option you like, this selection can be made by either selecting the Select Option button or by scrolling down the page to the Select your option..., from here, make your selection by clicking on the Add to Cart button.

 

 

With this item and any other items successfully added to your Shopping Cart, the final stage is to order your selected products.  Please see Section 3 - Final Payment Process below for more information.

 

 

 

Section 3 - Ordering Prescription Sunglasses


Ordering Prescription Sunglasses is a similar process to ordering Prescription Glasses, simply find the pair of Designer Sunglasses that you wish to buy through the Prescription Sunglasses menu option displayed at the top of the page, go to the list of available options from Select your option...  From here you can choose to order the standard sunglasses (with no prescription) or choose to add your prescription, this means that the standard lenses will be replaced with prescription lenses tailored to your requirements.  Please be aware however that there is an additional charge for Prescription Sunglasses and you will need to add a tint!

Please go to Section 1 - Step Two for advice on choosing lens options and adding your prescription.

 

 

 

Section 4 - Final Payment Process

There are 4 main steps within this process (5 if you are not logged in), all of which are indicated by a "Progress" bar at the top right hand of the page.

 

 

 

Step One
The first stage of the payment process is the Shopping Cart, this is where all items you have selected are stored temporarily.  These items will remain in your Shopping Cart until you either remove them manually by clicking Remove or by completing the payment process.

 

 

 

Step Two
This step covers account registration and login, if you are already logged in then this step can be skipped.

If this is your first time shopping with SelectSpecs.com then it's likely you do not have an account with us and are not logged in.  To be able to continue you must have an account, this allows us to manage your order, it will also ensure that any future orders you decide to make will be quick and easy!

Registration and Login in to SelectSpecs.com is simple and will only take a minute.  Please follow the links to Creating an Account and the Login in & Out for more information.

 

 

Step Three
The next stage of the payment process is to ensure all details of your order are correct, please check the following:

- Check billing and delivery address to ensure this has not changed recently.

- Provide an alternative delivery address.

- Check your order details to make sure you are buying the correct items.

- Check the delivery type to ensure it suits your needs.

- Add any additional information we need to know about your order, such as delivery instructions.

 


With these details checked you are finally ready to proceed to your chosen payment method.  Simply select a payment method from the list shown then Place Order.

Please note that payments to SelectSpecs are processed by secure payment merchants, SelectSpecs.com do not store your credit card information. Once you have confirmed payment through your chosen payment method, you will be redirected back to us where we will give you confirmation of your order, please ensure that you DO NOT close your browser or visit another web page before this process is complete!

Remember, if paying by cheque you can save a further 5% on your order! 

 

 

Step Four
Your will now be forwarded to your chosen secure payment method, please follow the instructions on the payment website to complete payment (if you are making payment by cheque you will be forwarded to the order confirmation page with details on how to make the payment).  Once your payment is complete you will be returned to our website.

 

 

Step Five
You will now be presented with an order confirmation, and thats it, you're done!  Your order is now being processed and will be with you in accordance with our Delivery Timescales.
