Kathryn Bigelow’s The Hurt Locker staring Jeremy Renner, Guy Pearce, Evangeline Lilly and Brian Geraghty, has become one of the most acclaimed films of 2009, earning awards and honors from numerous organizations, festivals and groups, and expected to do well at this years Oscars. The Hurt Locker follows 3 members of the Army’s elite Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) as they battle insurgents and one another as they search for and disarm a wave of roadside bombs on the streets of Baghdad in order to try and make the city a safe place for Iraqis and Americans alike.
