School may be out for summer but the festival season is far from over. Reading Festival<\/strong> \u2013 the mother of them all \u2013 is still to come at the end of August (27th-29th), followed by Bestival <\/strong>in September (9th-12th), two of the season\u2019s unmissable events. Now the whole point of going to a festival is to step outside of your comfort zone, throw caution to the wind, follow your heart, not wash, stay up all night \u2013 in other words, do whatever you damn well please. However, there are some aspects of your usual daily routine that refuse to be shrugged off, even for a day, and if you wear contact lenses and can\u2019t manage without them, festivals and camping pose a real headache.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re thinking it would be easier to leave the contact lenses at home and not have to worry about falling asleep with them in or all the hygiene rules that go with them, it\u2019s a good idea to fall back on a pair of specs. But then again, you may not want to risk taking your expensive glasses with you either. Festivals are not the place for costly, delicate or precious possessions, after all.<\/p>\n

For an iconic look that never seems to date, you can\u2019t go wrong with a pair of Aviator sunglasses or Wayfarer sunglasses, both of which have been protecting the baby blues of many celebs and performers on the festival circuit this year including Kate Moss<\/strong>, Emma Watson<\/strong>, Henry Holland<\/strong> and Jameela Jamil<\/strong>. If you do take a treasured pair of sunglasses with you it\u2019s worth making the effort to look after them. We suggest having them on a cord around your neck which allows you to have your hands free and reduces the chances of them being put down and forgotten. It\u2019s also much better than wearing them on your head which causes damage to the hinges and where they stand a good chance of falling off.
