If you are looking to live a little healthier, it sometimes helps to look towards fit and healthy people, and the habits they adopt on a daily basis.
Living well requires you to look at your diet, your relationships, and your levels of exercise individually.
It is important to take each of these elements into consideration, and by making small improvements to each of these you will quickly improve your quality of life.
Keep reading to find out the top habits of healthy people and see if you can adopt any of these into your daily life!
1. They Drink Two Liters Of Water Daily
Drinking at least two litres of water a day keeps you properly hydrated and gives your body the fluids it needs to function properly.
Being hydrated keeps your skin clear, reduces bloating, and helps prevent headaches and other pains.
Two liters may sound a lot, but it actually isn’t.
Just buy a one-liter bottle and make sure you fill it up twice a day and drink it all.
You will be amazed at the difference you feel in your body.
2. They Exercise Regularly
Yesterday evening I saw something horrible coming back from the gym that really upset me 😌 I wanted to remind you guys that whenever things aren't ok in your life, they will get better. You may have days where you feel like they won't, but I promise they will 🙏🏻 Whatever life throws at you remember you strong, capable and are always enough 💙 Have a positive start to your weekend lovelies ⭐️
We’re not necessarily talking going to the gym and doing an intense workout every single day.
Healthy people have the habit of simply doing some form of physical activity at least once a day, for at least thirty minutes.
You could go for a dog walk, do an at-home workout, or simply going for a kick about in the park with your kids.
Thirty minutes isn’t a long time in the grand scheme of the day, and by juggling your other daily commitments you should be able to find time to do it.
If you are going outside to get your exercise in, then be sure to take some sports sunglasses with you such as the Bolle Slice.
It is important to protect your eyes from damaging UV rays even when you are working out.
3. They Have Face To Face Conversations
T E A M 👯 Real queens fix each others crowns. This one (@catmeffan) has always had my back and im so lucky that not only has social media let us find each other it also brings us together for some incredible campaigns. In this day and age of social media and technology, actual face to face conversations are becoming more and more rare.
There is no substitute for having an actual conversation with your friends, family, or co-workers.
Having a good heart to heart will improve your mental health, help your maintain your social skills, and will hopefully give you a bit of a laugh too!
So, stop emailing your colleagues at work and simply walk over to their desk for a chat.
And don’t be glued to your phone at the dinner table – try and engage with your family and ask how their days went.
4. They Link Up With Positive People
Shutting down London. A MASSIVE thank you to everyone that came down to the Gymshark LDN store to celebrate our 5th Birthday with us. Words can't describe how grateful we are for the incredible support we received. We thank you ALL for making this weekend truly unforgettable and can't wait to take Gymshark events to a whole new level. This is only the beginning. Where should we go next? 🌍 #Gymshark #5Years #PoweredByShopify
There is nothing more detrimental to your mental and physical well-being than being surrounded by people who bring you down and don’t support you.
Healthy people tend to have a really fab supportive network of people around them who help them achieve their ambitions and who are genuinely happy for their achievements.
Don’t waste your time speaking to and being around people who don’t want the best for you – try and cut them out of your life if possible.
5. They Sleep Eight Hours A Night
We all know how important sleep is for our health.
The recommended amount of sleep you should try and get each night is around eight hours, and if you manage to achieve this your body will thank you for it.
Your body repairs itself whilst you sleep and also prepares you mentally for another busy day.
Studies have found that those who sleep between 7 and 8 hours a night are more productive at work and experience fewer illnesses and diseases in their lifetime.
