Slowly approaching as one of the most exciting times of the year – here comes festival season. The season just kicked off as Coachella started last weekend in the Californian desert.
With a summer full of amazing festivals in sight, thinking about the essentials and what you need to bring can be stressful.
Whether you’re going to Glastonbury, V Festival, Leeds or Reading Festival, use our handy guide to take the things you need the most. Let us help you get into the festival spirit without the hassle.
Attire for All Weather
This is a difficult one because you don’t want to take too much with you, but you need to be prepared for all kinds of weather – especially if you’re going to be partying in the UK.
We’d recommend taking thin layers that wont take up so much space. Plus there is the added ability to remove articles as desired.
Don’t forget the golden rule: wear clothes that are super comfortable for having the maximum amount of fun.
Appropriate shoes are a non-optional festival must have.
You’re going to be dancing the night away so heels are a definite no-no, because you’ll be moaning about your feet before the first set is over.
Waterproof, flat shoes are a great option because they’re comfy and keep your feet dry when the classic British summer arrives. A popular choice at festivals are the classic Wellington boots, with a whole range of stars sporting the footwear.
Accessories complete an outfit. It’s like the finishing touch or the icing on the cake.
Especially in hot weather, you’d want to wear a hat to keep your scalp from burning, as well as a pair of sunglasses, so you can enjoy the view without the squinting.
These Dior sunglasses are perfect for any festival. They look extremely stylish and they come in five different colors so you can find a pair which you love.
If you don’t want to splurge so much on a pair on sunglasses, then we’d recommend the Savannah J2310.
The tortoise shell is a classic, meaning they’ll last you through to next season and beyond!
You’ve got to stay somewhere after all.
We think you should invest a bit of money into a tent because it is your home for the length of period you’re camping out. You want one that keeps the wind and the rain out, otherwise you won’t be able to enjoy your time if you’re cold, wet and sleep deprived.
All-Important Health & Safety
Sorry to be a bore, but you need to take into consideration some important health details.
Being in the middle of a field could mean you’re unable to access essentials quickly and easily. Therefore, take precautions.
Pack the medicine you need, some first aid stuff, wet wipes (we can’t stress how important they are for a quick refresher), and some sun cream.
You don’t want to be suffering during or after your time at the festival.
Tickets & Important Docs
You’ve spent all this time packing; it would be awful if you turned up without your ticket. Believe us, it happens often so remember to pack it.
Write a list of numbers just in case your phone dies, gets stolen or damaged, as well as bringing your ID.
