When the hot weather hits, you don’t want to be sitting in the office boiling over in a thick, warm business suit. You need to have a few outfits in your wardrobe which not only look smart, but will keep you cool when the sun comes out.
It can be hard to think of some professional looking outfits which are hot weather appropriate, but luckily for you, we have compiled together some of the best looks.
Which outfit would you like to rock at the office this summer?
Keep It Monochrome @Tanyaburr
When it comes to looking smart, you can’t go wrong by keeping your outfit monochrome.
Black and white are universally smart, and allow you more flexibility on which style of outfits you wear compared to other colours.
We love Tanya’s smart and glamorous outfit here.
The tailored style and cinched in waist is incredibly feminine and professional, especially with the addition of ankle strap heels.
Make like Tanya and add a pop of colour to your look with a bright red lip, or a bright coloured accessory such as a shoulder bag.
I've been totally AWOL since Wednesday on here, sorry about that! Trying to cram-in work and a few blogger events has left me really tired and in need of a break! 😂 I've just uploaded today's video #linkinbio ❤️ It's a Vlog 🙌🏽🙏🏽 Outfit: http://liketk.it/2r7W8 @liketoknow.it #liketkit #LTKShoeCrush #LTKStyleTip #LTKBag #sophieshohet #harrods #chanel #luxeblogger #luxeyoutuber #clubmonaco #diorever #mykm
Cropped trousers allow you to have that little bit more leg on show, thus keeping you cool whilst still looking smart.
If you want to keep even cooler, then opt for a linen cropped trouser.
Linen is perfect for hot weather and allows your skin to really breath.
Sophie also wears a sleeveless blouse which is also hot weather friendly.
Keep the look professional with a structured handbag and some high heels.
Cold Shoulder @Lydiaemillen
The @mulberryengland show was incredible! I loved every moment, now off to the @temperleylondon show and I'm gonna be taking over the @luisaviaroma Instagram stories so head over there and watch along #LFW #LYDIAxLFW #luisaviaroma #lvr #RMxMF 📷 @iamchouquette http://liketk.it/2qttw @liketoknow.it #liketkit
Cold shoulder tops and dresses will do exactly that – keep your arms and shoulders cool in hot weather.
This style of clothing doesn’t always need to be for the beach, as Lydia Millen proves here.
Again Lydia stays with a monochrome colour palette which looks super smart.
The cropped length jumpsuit is loose fitting too – perfect for the warmer months.
Lydia keeps things on trend with the ruffle detailing on the arms, which is very much in vogue at the moment.
Shift Dress @Josieldn
Shift dresses are endlessly smart and sophisticated.
The above-knee length and sleeveless style will keep you lovely and cool in the heat, yet still look structured and professional.
Copy Josie here and opt for a dress in white.
White is the perfect colour to deflect the heat whilst sitting at your computer.
Get Josie’s gorgeous cat-eye sunglasses with the MICHAEL KORS 0MK2040 DIVYA.
The feminine cat-eye shape and tortoiseshell frames are perfectly on-trend and would look fabulous worn with any smart summer office look.
Go Sheer @Niomismart
Sheer fabric is the ultimate in summer office wear.
It looks very smart and covers your skin, whilst still allowing you to keep cool.
We love how Niomi has styled this pretty white sheer blouse by tucking it into a striped mini-skirt.
If you are worried about the length of the skirt in this look, then a sheer blouse would look equally as good with a midi-length skirt.
Keep things elegant by teaming the look with some fashion-forward high heels.
