Leather is one of those materials which can be worn all year round. It is a great material to layer up with woolies and boots in the cooler months, but can also be worn on those sunnier days with some careful thought. Great news for us, leather can be found in all the shops at the moment.
We’ve looked at Instagram’s most stylish fashionistas to gather some leather inspiration. Take a look at our favourite looks below.
Leather Skirts on @louise.thompson
Made in Chelsea’s Louise Thompson rocks a cute leather mini skirt in this outfit.
She has made the look suitable for the tricky transitional months by teaming it with fishnet tights (very much in vogue at the moment) and a gorgeous monochrome swing coat.
The fringing on the leather skirt is once again very much in fashion, and adds an extra level of interest to the look.
Get Louise’s sunglasses look with the Ray-Ban RB3025 Aviators.
The silver metal frames, pink lenses and aviator style look just like Louise’s, and would look cool worn with your leather outfit.

Coloured Leather on @xenia.kotsidou
Xenia proves that leather doesn’t always need to be in simple black. Why not invest in a more colourful leather piece like this gorgeous rust red leather jacket worn here?
A great option for warmer months when you may want to wear brighter colours. Why not try a pale pink jacket or maybe even a cobalt blue leather skirt if you’re really confident?
Leather Trousers on @Amelialiana
YouTuber and blogger Amelia Liana looks gorgeous in these black leather trousers.
They are the prefect item to wear in Autumn and Winter when the weather is chilly, and offer a more interesting alternative to standard black denim jeans.
Incredibly chic worn with black leather heeled boots, but would look equally as stylish teamed with some Converse for those more laid-back days.
Dressy With @fleurdeforce
Here YouTuber Fleur proves that leather jackets are not just for everyday casual wear.
This jacket looks gorgeous teamed with a super girly and elegant pleated midi skirt and heels. Be brave when wearing your leather jacket – don’t just wear it with denim, experiment and wear it with other more luxurious materials such as chiffon or silk.
Another really easy way to dress up leather is to accessorize with jewelry, sunglasses or an embellished handbag.
Bright Colours on @lilypebbles
If you only have black leather pieces in your wardrobe, then a great way to make your outfit stand out and more suitable for summer months is to team it with bright colours.
Here, Lily Pebbles looks gorgeous with this black leather skirt and bright orange batwing top. The gorgeous colour really helps Lily’s outfit to stand out from the crowd. Alternatively, team your black leather with a colourful pair of shoes or a handbag!
