Best Eyewear Looks From Melbourne Fashion Week ’17

Melbourne Fashion Week is a bi-annual event which occurs in the months of March and September each year.

The exhibition took place between the 1st to 8th of September 2017 on the pier of St. Kilda.

There was a lot of variety among the different designers who showed their latest Spring/Summer 2018 collections during the week.

Stand-out designers for us include Nicola Finetti, Autonomy, Chris Ran Lin, and Demki.

Every designer exhibited a different themed collection during their own catwalk show, incorporating trends like ruffled features, faux fur, and asymmetric garment cuts.

Several brands also featured spectacular forms of eyewear during their presentations.

Lets take a look at some of the designers in question!

Nicola Finetti

The first catwalk look comes from Australian designer: Nicola Finetti.

This model is getting ready backstage for her appearance at the Finetti show.

A lilac coloured mini dress is worn in this shot, which contains some interesting ruffled detailing at the hemline.

The dress also features some puffed sleeves which adds further interest to the look.

Finetti has styled the model with a green crocodile printed handbag, matching purple tights and some awesome specs.

Next up, we have menswear brand Autonomy.

This is one of the key looks from their recent S/S18 collection which was shown in Melbourne.

The male model is sporting a rather casual outfit here, with the styling of a short sleeved aztec print shirt in monochrome colours.

They have paired it with some beige fitted shorts complete with minimal accessories – such a cool yet effortless look!

We are obsessing over this look by menswear designer: Chris Ran Lin.

This long length faux fur cardigan is giving us all the winter feels!

The addition of some red detailing is a clear military influence – a trend which will stand the test of time.

White Converse trainers and some chic specs finish the look off extremely well.

Gorman

What a great look from the designers of Gorman!

This a playful ensemble with the bold bird print on the front of the garment, as well as the styling of pink socks with blush coloured flats – gives off a childlike feel.

The zig-zag statement sleeves are also something to rave about – they complement the style so well!

The look comes together with these chic sunnies – what a sensational ensemble.

Jack London

The last designer in this post is Jack London.

This menswear brand has gone with a floral theme for this outfit within their slot at Melbourne Fashion Week.

A short sleeved shirt with a floral print is teamed with some tailored black trousers.

Minimal jewellery and a great pair of sunglasses complete this classic yet stylish ensemble.
