Tell your friends & family.
That squad. London, you were incredible! A HUGE thank you to all the Gymshark fam that came down to see us at our LDN store this weekend. The last five years have been out of this world, and seeing all the love and support we received just got us even more excited for what's to come. Where should we go next? 🌍 #Gymsharkwomen #5Years #PoweredByShopify
You need to tell as many people as you know about your goals and intentions for keeping healthy. I
f you tell your friends and family what you are trying to achieve, then the likelihood is they will support you and offer you encouragement when you start to doubt yourself.
Also, you don’t want your family and friends to be disappointed in you, do you?
You will want to keep working hard for their sake.
Set mini goals.
Don’t just look at the big picture – don’t simply think “I want to lose 6 stone over the next few years.”
This is a big goal and will take a long time to accomplish.
Instead, set yourself mini goals which are actually achievable in the short term and will give you a boost of confidence once you achieve them.
For example, think “I want to be able to do 10 press ups by the end of next month.”
Having mini targets will make you want to go and work out!
Get some new workout gear.
Hands up who loves Gymshark flex leggings! 🙋🙋 starting to feel and see a little difference in my abs now which the one area I was struggling with! There’s nothing like some new gorgeous workout clothes to make you want to put them on and show them off at the gym!
If you have some great fitness wear which will make you feel confident, comfortable and will keep you dry throughout your workout, you will find you feel so much motivated to exercise.
If you workout outdoors in the sun, make sure you are wearing some sports sunglasses to protect your eyes from the damaging UV rays.
Try some of the Bolle Recall – these awesome sunglasses feature a wraparound design which will give you a great range of vision.
They also have a soft grip material which means they won’t slide off your face.
Bring a mate.
Do you have a mate who would also like to workout or who has some targets to get fit?
Why not ask them if they would like to workout with you?
Whether it is to go on a run, to the gym or just doing an at-home workout in your garden, having a mate to work out with is sometimes the best motivation.
Support each other and you will find it easier to reach your goals.
Take progress pictures.

It can sometimes be difficult to see changes to your body day after day.
If you are looking at yourself in the mirror everyday, you won’t see the little differences which you workouts are making to your body.
Instead, take a few progress pictures once every week, and line them up side by side.
You will be staggered at how different your body looks.
Seeing just how much your body is really changing for the better will give you a real boost of motivation.
