Award season is upon us and the main event is fast approaching – The Oscars! It is the 88th Oscars ceremony, and we know everyone has one thing on their mind… Will Leo finally get one!
With The Revenant already winning the Best Film BAFTA, and Leonardo Di’Caprio winning Best actor in a leading role, he is the hot favourite for the Oscar.
Although he has stiff competition! Also up in the same category is Matt Damon for his role in The Martian and also Michael Fassbender in his role as Steve Jobs.
If you would like to own a pair of glasses similar to those worn by Michael Fassbender in Steve Jobs, you will find the Goiorgio Armani AR5004T on our website should fit the bill.
Carrying on with their success of Steve Jobs, Kate Winslet also picked up a BAFTA for Best Supporting Actress, she is up for an Oscar in the same category. She also has some tough competition coming form Alicia Vikander in The Danish Girl, who was spotted with her partner at the BAFAS, Kate Winslet’s leading man, Michael Fassbender. No doubt Michael wishes both woman all the best at the Oscars.
Nominated for Best actress in a leading role, Brie Larson has also had BAFTA success winning this category for her role in Room. Also nominated in this category is Jennifer Lawrence for her role in Joy. We saw this film bringing back many glasses trends, such as The Old School glasses, The Biker Chic look and The Low Key look. You can see our featured blog post on Joy here.
It’s not just the stars of the show that can show off their specs appeal; the backstage stars can shine too! Seen here at the Oscar nominees luncheon, Steven Speilberg is hopeful to carry on the success of his new film The Bridge of Spies at the Oscars. With the film being nominated for 6 Oscars, including Best Film and Best supporting actor for Mark Rylance.
