I hope you got a thing or two. Shout out to @zebrasquare001 for putting this event together, @kisuaonline I love my outfit 📸 – @vegdj
Wearing an outfit by a South African designer – a good way to pay homage to the country hosting her book event.
While keeping with the traditional African culture of wearing a headscarf, she adds a modern twist by pairing an African print coat with a long sleeve white shirt.
How gorgeous is the tousled brown & blond hair paired with the red wrap dress?
Love the plunging neckline with kimono sleeves and matching red lips.
Owambe is a term for describing a time of celebration such as someone getting married, giving birth or buying a new house.
It’s very common among Nigerians anywhere in the world.
It was once associated with the Yoruba tribe, but has now become a country wide social behavior.
For Owambe, you can choose to wear an outfit based on the colour theme of the event.
For Nigerian weddings, the bride and groom will want their close family and friends to wear attire in certain colours.
Take me back to #stabieverafter. Woke up this morning thankful to everyone that was a part of it. My friend and colleagues, my family far and near, all the incredible people that worked with us @marcusmith_events you were tremendous 💯 @cirocnigeria for supporting me, you all rock! 📸 – @shotbyernest #EgbonIyawo #sisterofthebride
Toke wore white on white with various textures.
She wore a top and wrapper (in Nigeria it’s called Iro and Buba) and gele (Nigerian name for headscarf) to her sister’s wedding.
The wrapper comes with a stenciled design and the top has fur and sequins.
The only added bright colour for this look is the long coral necklace.
This is the perfect vacation style when you’re not afraid to incorporate bright colours like yellow.
While other are doing black on black or choosing to stay around safe shades, you can choose any bright colours of your choice to stand out rather blend in.
Like the way, she paired her yellow bikini with a loose yellow cover up held with a belt.
To add more diva, she wore oversized sunglasses with embellishments.
