When the sun is out and the rain has disappeared, it is the perfect time to start experimenting with different hairstyles.
Whether your hair is long, short, fine or thick, we have compiled together some of our favourite hair inspo from Instagram’s most fashionable.
Keep reading below – which look are you going to try this Summer?
1. Double Braided Top Knots
This look would be perfect for festivals or hot sunny days when you just want your hair off your face and neck.
Evelina is throwing back to the 90s with this fun hairstyle.
Definitely not the easiest to achieve, you will need to be very good at French braids for this gorgeous look.
Part your hair into a middle parting, and French braid each section tightly, right to the bottom of your hair.
Fasten with a clear elastic and twirl your braid around itself into a bun.
Fasten with bobby pins and spritz with hairspray.
For a look which stands out even more, copy Evelina and use temporary hair dye to colour each braid.
2. Add a Jeweled Alice Band
One of the easiest ways to add a bit of pizazz to your hair is through the addition of an embellished Alice band, like Amelia here.
This look can be done on both short and long hair, making it incredibly versatile.
You can opt to either push your hair entirely off your face with the band, or simply place it on the top of your head like Amelia.
Steal her gorgeous sunglasses look with the Polaroid PLD 6012/N.
We love the classic aviator style which suits all face shapes and goes with so many different outfits.
The blue mirror lenses also add a touch of glamour and colour to your summer look.
3. Tousled Bob
Sometimes it can be hard to think of ways to style your hair when it is short.
We love Estee Lalonde’s hairstyle here, where she has used some tongs to gently curl her hair.
It has a very natural and summery feel, and would be the perfect look to wear on the beach.
Go a step further and spritz some salt spray into the lengths of your hair to hold the curl and give it that surfer-style look.
4. Inject Some Colour
For me, Summer is the perfect time to inject a bit of colour into your outfit and your make up. But why stop there?
Why not make like Fleur and use some temporary hair dye on either the entirety of your hair or just the ends?
The pale purple colour Fleur has opted for here is so pretty, and doesn’t look too bright or scary either.
Temporary hair dye is a great way to experiment with colour, and if you really like it then you can always go permanent.
Why not also try pale pink or pale blue instead?
This look works well on Fleur because she is naturally blonde, so if you are dark-haired this look may not work for you, or you may need to leave the colour on longer.
5. Go Really Curly
If you really want to change up your hairstyle, then tight ringlet curls are very much in fashion this summer.
Zoella has use a small barrel tong to tightly curl small sections of hair to create this pretty look.
You would need to separate your hair into sections and work through it piece by piece, so it will take a while to recreate this look.
Be sure to spritz tonnes of hairspray onto your hair after too, to protect it from summer’s humidity.
