We’re quickly approaching the end of summer – no more ice cream at any time of hour, no more long summer nights, and no more drinking ciders in the pub garden.
It also means it is time to start thinking about our autumn/winter wardrobe.
Many of you might be wishfully thinking that we might get an Indian Summer in September, and maybe October which means we don’t have to put away our summer clothes just yet.
However, if you’re trying to be a little more practical, then this is the best time to start thinking about transition pieces that will see you from now all the way into Autumn.
We’ve complied a list of items we think are staples you need in your wardrobe.
Of course, we have to mention our beloved sunglasses.
Not only are they great for times when we’re lucky enough to receive some sunshine, but they’re also amazing at hiding late nights, hangovers and no make up days.
Even when the sun isn’t out and is behind the clouds, it can get quite bright, so you’ll need to protect your eyes from damage.
Our current faves are these ones by Marc Jacobs.
The tortoise colour is a huge trend right now, and will last your next summer and the summer after that!
The slightly round lenses are a hit with bloggers, vloggers and celebs all around the world.
A shape which would suit most faces.
If you’re anything like us, you’ve probably been living in vests and tank tops all summer long.
They’re a versatile piece and can easily be dressed up with a pair of heels and some red lippy.
Equally a causal piece, paired with some jeans and converse.
These are great for the transition into Autumn because they’re perfect for layering.
You can wear this under cardigans, hoodies, and jumpers for days when the weather is a little bit too chilly.
Shorts are a really good alternative for skirts and dresses because they keep you as cool in the summer.
You get to show off your fab legs, while they keep your outfit looking a little less girly, which is perfect for those tomboys out there.
However, just because the sun is not longer out, don’t think you need to pack away the shorts!
Shorts can be styled with some tights underneath, meaning you can still look cute in your shorts without having to bear the cold with your bare legs.
There’s not doubt about it – Converse footwear will not only will transition you from Summer to Autumn, but also Autumn to Winter, and Winter into Spring.
Although, if you live in a country where it rains, they might get a little bit wet!
They’re comfortable, stylish and go with practically any outfit, which is why we absolutely love Converses.
