The Best Hairstyles For Working Out

If you work out frequently, you may find yourself chucking your hair up into the same style each time, with little thought or effort going into it.

Sometimes though, you may just get a little bored of executing the same style day in day out.

Maybe you just want a little change, or perhaps you want to find a new style which is quicker to create.

Either way, we have put together some of our favourite hairstyle looks for you to try yourself.

Which do you like the most?

Quiff Ponytail @Sophie_aris

Really quick and easy to create, the quiff ponytail is a slight variation on the normal ponytail.

Sophie looks beautiful with this pretty yet practical hair look.

All you need to create this is a hair band and some bobby pins.

Take a small section of hair at the front of your head and using a backcombing brush create some volume behind the hair by brushing the hair towards your scalp.

Twist this piece of hair and secure with the bobbyย pins.

After this, just create a normal ponytail and spritz all over with hairspray.

Wear a Cap @Gracefituk

Sometimes all you need to wear is a simple cap to keep your hair in check.

If you’re going to be doing some sort of physical activity where you’re not worried about your hair flapping in your face, this is a great option.

Simply keep your hair down and slap on a cap.

You could also plait your hair or wear it in a low ponytail before putting your cap on.

Caps have the added benefit of covering any sweaty post-workout faces if you’re worried about this.

Another favourite of many for working out, the messy top knot is an incredibly easy look to achieve.

One of the easiest ways to get the look is to create a high ponytail with one hairband, before wrapping your hair around this band to create a bun, and securing with bobby pins or another hairband.

Pull out some strands of hair from the bun and from around your face to create an effortless look.

This is a great style to ensure your hair is off your face and neck during tough workouts.

Tousled High Ponytail @Fitnessontoast

One way to jazz up the standard ponytail is to slightly curl or wave your hair before putting it up or whilst it is in the pony.

Grab some curling tongs and curl some large sections of hair around it.

If you want a real lived-in look, then spray some salt spray into the lengths to create some extra texture.

Finish with a good burst of hairspray.

French Braid @Des_tiny.lee

This look is a little bit more complicated than the other hairstyles, and may require some practice.

A French braid is fantastic as it is neat, very secure, looks pretty and gets all your hair off your face.

You can experiment by doing double French braids, or even inside-out braids.
