I remember squinting at the white board and leaving school with a headache.<\/p>\n<p>So, when I was told I needed glasses, I was quite relieved.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, being eleven, I really wasn\u2019t too fussed about what style I wanted or what colour I should go for.<\/p>\n<p>I chose a pair of red frames and didn\u2019t think much of it.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t until I reached secondary school that I started to become more conscious about the pair I had picked; they were bright red!<\/p>\n<p>They no longer matched my school uniform and so I decided to change.<\/p>\n<p>During this time, I started to feel more self-conscious about wearing glasses \u2013 not many of my friends wore them and I began to feel like I was \u2018sticking out.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Of course, I couldn\u2019t help this \u2013 being short (or long) sighted isn\u2019t anyone\u2019s fault.<\/p>\n<p>However, despite this, I started to leave them in my school bag.<\/p>\n<p>And this is where the problems I\u2019d had before started to come back. Except this time, it was worse!
