Anna Sui is best recognised for being a fashion designer, hailing from Detroit, USA. Now residing in New York City, the creative originally began working for the childrenswear brand Charlie’s Girls, both designing clothes and styling them. After the brand’s closure, Sui moved on to pastures new with companies such as Bobbie Brooks and Glenora. In her spare time, Sui would design and produce clothes from her apartment. By the late 80’s, she was well and truly on her way to success with her own clothing line.
