Emilio Pucci is a popular Italian fashion brand. Pucci began his career in the early 40’s, designing outfits for the skiing group at Reed College in the state of Oregon, USA. In 1947, his work caught the attention of a Harper’s Bazaar photographer. Leading on from this, he managed to get an editorial spread in the publication a year later. He slowly ventured into other areas such as swimwear and accessory design, as well as womenswear – of which Marilyn Monroe was a big fan of! He even collaborated with Braniff International Airways on a project, which saw him design new uniforms for their employees. Emilio sadly passed way in 1992, with his daughter Laudomia taking over the business. Pucci’s collections have been featured in several fashion week events in the past.
