Overall great but sort out the delivery date

Very happy on all fronts except the irritating delays on both pairs I have bought this year. Both had up to 10 days delivery, and both had 'unexpected' delays, the second pair took a month. If it is always going to be late stop saying up to 10 days.

SelectSpecs.com says...
Hi James, sorry to hear you're not happy with the delays you experienced. Normal production can take up to 10 working days, and more than 90% of are orders are completed within this timescale. With your first order, this was completed within 10 working days but dispatched the following day - due to your choice of frame and prescription, this job required specialist glazing for the best possible finish. The 2nd order was delayed due to an issue with the lenses, which we emailed you about.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Good glasses

I have purchased 6 pairs of glasses from Selectspecs over the years and they really are very good.
Be prepared for an email though that will extend the time of delivery.....6 pairs of glasses 6 emails and delivery delays.

SelectSpecs.com says...
Hi Ian. I have checked all your previous orders and cannot see any issues with delays, all were completed within or around our expected timescales. Are you sure these emails were not just shipping notices that are sent once your order ships?

Brilliant

Took two weeks and they fit like a glove. I have told all family and friends how amazing this company is and how great my glasses are definitely buying more pairs.

Excellent value and very light but too flimsy and flexible.

Excellent value but style not as picture suggests and not high quality. The lenses are supported by only one screw at the ends instead of the normal two. Holding each screw are two small bolts that protrude 5mm out from the back of the lens. Also the lens has small square cut outs on each side. Whilst these are not visible from the front they do make the glasses unusual and not so easy to clean. The nose bridge and side arms are too flexible and flimsy. As the arms are so flimsy they do not give adequate side grip but because they are made of springy metal they are difficult to bend to give extra grip on the ears. The plastic cover of the side arms are very loose. Just as well that they have a one year guarantee.

Help with frame sizes

Finding the correct frame size to suit you requires you to know a little about the different measurements that are used.  Size information is normally broken down in to arm / temple length (ranges between 120 - 150mm), bridge width (ranges between 14 - 24mm, and lens width (ranges between 40 - 62mm).  We also include a frame height measurement where possible, this can vary depending on frame style.

If you require further help, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team on 03303 801 190 (Mon - Fri, 9am - 17.30pm) for further assistance.

I already have glasses, how do I find out their size?

If you have a pair of glasses that are a perfect fit, you can usually find the frame size information on the frame - usually on the arm or the bridge.
