In the Frame
I am very pleased with the glasses given my particular prescription and the lens requirements. However, it is difficult to know exactly how they will suit your appearance until you actually put them on, and, on reflection, I should have chosen a slightly different style with a more pronounced curve towards the arms as well as a thinner frame. That said they are excellent value-for-money.

Great value style
I'm delighted with my glasses and the service I received from Selectspecs.
I agree with everything the previous reviewer said. They are well made and extremely comfortable. The hinges are very sturdy so will last for a long time.
I had varifocal lenses which I got used to in a couple of hours. My Optician told me that varifocals for me would be £250. These were £75 delivered!
The staff at Selectspecs were very helpful and professional. The glasses came in fabric pouch and a plastic tube. I would have preferred a hard case but some may prefer the pouch.
Brilliant value - Thank you Selectspecs.

These glasses arrived quickly and are the correct prescription. They look great - if you have a wide face like mine they are perfect. They look just as good as a pair costing 3 or 4 times as much.
They are sturdy and well constructed. I had feared that they would feel cheap and have poor quality moulding or moving parts (hinges) but everything feels as good. They are really comfortable and I have forgotten I am wearing them. Many specs can dig in to my nose and hurt after a while. Not these. Also, no nose marks from the bridge.
I leave my glasses lying around all the time and the scratch resistance has worked well. I ordered thinner lenses and they are indeed thin. I probably could have gone with the normal lenses on my prescription. For those of you with low to medium prescriptions, the normal or slightly thinner lenses are fine. You will only need the ultra thin with higher prescriptions.
The only thing that could be added is spring hinges. I would pay an extra couple of quid for these. But this is a quibble - they are as advertised and do the job well, for very little money indeed.

Finding the correct frame size to suit you requires you to know a little about the different measurements that are used. Size information is normally broken down in to arm / temple length (ranges between 120 - 150mm), bridge width (ranges between 14 - 24mm, and lens width (ranges between 40 - 62mm). We also include a frame height measurement where possible, this can vary depending on frame style.
If you require further help, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team on 03303 801 190 (Mon - Fri, 9am - 17.30pm) for further assistance.
If you have a pair of glasses that are a perfect fit, you can usually find the frame size information on the frame - usually on the arm or the bridge.
What to look for?
You will often find a variety of information on the frame, including model number, branding and frame sizing. The numbers you are looking for will be similar to this format 150 - 22 - 50 although this can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. These numbers provide the following information:-
150 - Arm / temple size (in mm), a 3 digit value normally ranging from 120 - 150.
22 - Bridge size (in mm), a 2 digit value normally ranging from 14 - 24.
50 - Lens width (in mm), a 2 digit value normally ranging from 40 - 62.
