Best Quality and Value Glasses I've had in 50 Years !!

For the past 20 years I have always felt that I was being seriously overcharged for my glasses by a number of high street opticians. I wanted better value for money and after much deliberation, I decided to take the plunge and order a pair of glasses online. I checked out several sites, but found selectspecs to be the most user friendly (for a 65 year old), with the best prices for what I was looking for ( a large frame and varifocal lenses).
As this was my first online order, I decided to limit my spend, in case it turned out to be a disaster. I spent just over £40 on a pair of 'sale price' Pierre Cardin frames and around £40 on a standard clear pair of normal thickness lenses. I sent in a pair of old glasses to have my PD measurement taken and got the other measurements from the old frame.

My new glasses arrived 2 days ago and I am absolutely delighted with the result. Both the frame and the lenses are of higher quality than anything I have had in the past. I normally pay around £250 for my glasses and my new ones, at a total cost of £82, are on a completely level !!

I am so pleased with my new glasses that I am now planning my next order for a pair of prescription sunglasses in the hope that Summer will arrive this year !

Help with frame sizes

Finding the correct frame size to suit you requires you to know a little about the different measurements that are used.  Size information is normally broken down in to arm / temple length (ranges between 120 - 150mm), bridge width (ranges between 14 - 24mm, and lens width (ranges between 40 - 62mm).  We also include a frame height measurement where possible, this can vary depending on frame style.

If you require further help, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team on 03303 801 190 (Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm) for further assistance.

I already have glasses, how do I find out their size?

If you have a pair of glasses that are a perfect fit, you can usually find the frame size information on the frame - usually on the arm or the bridge.
