Available Lenses & Prescriptions

Our express service is available for Single Vision 1.5, 1.56, 1.61, and 1.67 clear lenses, with a prescription range of SPH +6.00 to -6.00 and CYL ±1.50. Availability will also be dependant on your PD measurement.


Production Timescales for Express

Orders placed on Monday to Friday before 3pm will be completed and dispatched the same day. Delivery will depend on the express delivery service selected - see here for full details.

Orders placed after 3pm on Friday or during the weekend or public holiday will be dispatched the following working day. (Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays)


Restrictions

Our express service is only available for UK customers. Tinted. polarised, photochromic, Transition or prism lens options not available for express.

  Unbelievable!

I really wasn't expecting much as I wanted to buy the cheapest pair as a tester. The last pair of glasses I bought were 100 times more expensive than these ones and I hardly ever wear them, because the shop sold me a pair for distance use but I also needed a pair for medium distance. I decided not to go back to the shop to get ripped off and bought these instead. I wear them all the time now and everybody says they look great. I am definitely going to buy some more expensive ones from Selectspecs with all the bells and whistles anti-scratch etc. I can't recommend Selectspecs enough.

I needed a pair of glasses to use at home for when I took my contact lenses out and thought I'd give these a try. What could go wrong? If they were awful it wasn't a big financial loss. In fact they are excellent. Comfortable, well made and when I put them on, no-one knows I'm Superman.

Help with frame sizes

Finding the correct frame size to suit you requires you to know a little about the different measurements that are used.  Size information is normally broken down in to arm / temple length (ranges between 120 - 150mm), bridge width (ranges between 14 - 24mm, and lens width (ranges between 40 - 62mm).  We also include a frame height measurement where possible, this can vary depending on frame style.

I already have glasses, how do I find out their size?

If you have a pair of glasses that are a perfect fit, you can usually find the frame size information on the frame - usually on the arm or the bridge.

What to look for?

What to look for?
You will often find a variety of information on the frame, including model number, branding and frame sizing. The numbers you are looking for will be similar to this format 150 - 22 - 50 although this can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.  These numbers provide the following information:-

150 - Arm / temple size (in mm), a 3 digit value normally ranging from 120 - 150.
22 - Bridge size (in mm), a 2 digit value normally ranging from 14 - 24.
50 - Lens width (in mm), a 2 digit value normally ranging from 40 - 62.
