I've had prescription Oakley sunnies for years', thought I'd try *** this time as they end up costing hundred's from my old optician. Although the lenses were okay I just couldn't live with a heavy, slippy frame. So thought I'd use SelectSpecs. I have to say the cost for Oakley prescription sunnies has saved me hundred's of pounds. During COVID the service has been rather slow but I wasn't in a rush and have patiently waited. The website is good as you can see/track progress of your order.
My only issue is that I have chosen the wrong frames! They are a lot shallower than what I normally choose so I still prefer wearing my old ones (which by now have a slightly old prescription) which I have rejuvenated with new earsocks!
I will definitely use SelectSpecs again for glasses/sunglasses. My advice would be do some research on your frame sizes first. These Fives Squared do fit really well, the lenses are lovely to look through and they are very light and fit and stay on my nose really well. I just prefer a deeper shape/lense by at least another 10mm. Might be good to see frames on a mannequin head at least to see a bit better the style/shape of frames.
I also had some old Oakley glasses re-glazed with my most recent prescription and am really happy with those too.
Overall I would recommend SelectSpecs and the value for money is incredible compared to independent high street opticians.
Fit - As expected I wouldn't recommend this product

I got these with a discount voucher and fitted with prescription class 2 Gray tints for driving and they are great. The fit feels a little loose I thing due to the very light weight of Oakley's But they don't move no matter how violently you move your head. As for the tint I think they might look cooler with a class 3 tint but the police may wave a finger at you for it. :)
Fit - As expected I'd recommend this product

Finding the correct frame size to suit you requires you to know a little about the different measurements that are used. Size information is normally broken down in to arm / temple length (ranges between 120 - 150mm), bridge width (ranges between 14 - 24mm, and lens width (ranges between 40 - 62mm). We also include a frame height measurement where possible, this can vary depending on frame style.

If you have a pair of glasses that are a perfect fit, you can usually find the frame size information on the frame - usually on the arm or the bridge.
What to look for?
You will often find a variety of information on the frame, including model number, branding and frame sizing. The numbers you are looking for will be similar to this format 150 - 22 - 50 although this can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. These numbers provide the following information:-
150 - Arm / temple size (in mm), a 3 digit value normally ranging from 120 - 150.
22 - Bridge size (in mm), a 2 digit value normally ranging from 14 - 24.
50 - Lens width (in mm), a 2 digit value normally ranging from 40 - 62.
We do our best to ensure we stock all available items from all our supplied brands so if an item is not listed it may be out of stock or discontinued. If you do not see the frame size you require please contact us through our Customer Services system where we will try to assist you.
