Product Overview

As seen in Marvel's Captain America: Civil War

Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark wearing Police S1948 Sunglasses in the movie Marvel's Captain America: Civil War

You may recognise these Police S1948 sunglasses as the ones featured in the recent 2016 Marvel Superhero blockbuster Captain America: Civil War.  Not worn by Cap, but actually by Tony Stark AKA Iron-Man. While these are the same frames that Robert Downey Jr. wears in the movie, it should be noted that these ones might not actually be bullet-proof, should you get shot in the face like Tony Stark in the film.  We haven't actually tested the bullet-shielding capabilities of these sunglasses, but we don't recommend you do either to be honest; it's probably just best not to get shot in the face if you have a choice.

In the movie Captain America: Civil War, you may have noticed that the lenses are a little different, to the options available here. The standard version of these sunglasses have smoke grey and mirrored silver lenses while Robert’s Downey Jr's Police sunglasses feature rose pink-tinted lenses instead. These are a custom lens made especially for the film to match Iron-Man's general colour scheme. But don't worry, if you want to have the same effect, you can choose to swap out the lenses on these sunglasses and replace them with a pink tint.  You can even have your own prescription added to them if you wish.

Help with frame sizes

Finding the correct frame size to suit you requires you to know a little about the different measurements that are used.  Size information is normally broken down in to arm / temple length (ranges between 120 - 150mm), bridge width (ranges between 14 - 24mm, and lens width (ranges between 40 - 62mm).  We also include a frame height measurement where possible, this can vary depending on frame style.

If you require further help, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team on (646) 878-6195 (Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm GMT) for further assistance.

I already have glasses, how do I find out their size?

If you have a pair of glasses that are a perfect fit, you can usually find the frame size information on the frame - usually on the arm or the bridge.
