Retro sunglasses

I really like the texture of the frames. They have a suede type feel to them. They fit perfectly which surprised me as I usually have children's glasses. I choose a light lense for migraines so I was still able to focus if needed.

Lense tint scale is a mess!

Frames are fine for the price but just make sure you get the darkest tint you can. Had to return the medium tint as they were barely tinted at all. "Medium" tint is shown in the photo. Email customer service were taking several days for each response. Now I won't have the dark ones in time for my holiday. I'll go to Tesco next time as they are the same price for prescription sunglasses but you get to see the level of tint in the flesh. Select are only good for spectacles, clue was in the name I guess!

SelectSpecs.com says...
Hi, sorry to hear this, the image provided looks correct for a medium tint (18-43% light transmission - whereas dark are 8-18%). We always recommend a dark tint for sunglasses.

Really great glasses

I've never bought prescription sunglasses before but I was really starting to need a pair for driving. The ones i'd seen in Specsavers were just so expensive, and then I found almost the exact same pair i'd tried on here and went for it. Half the price, and the quality of the frames is actually a bit nicer. The frames look great and feel really soft and smooth, so comfortable you don't even notice you're wearing them. I went for the dark tint and they're not too dark that you can't see when it starts to get cloudy again. Would definitely recommend.

Help with frame sizes

Finding the correct frame size to suit you requires you to know a little about the different measurements that are used.  Size information is normally broken down in to arm / temple length (ranges between 120 - 150mm), bridge width (ranges between 14 - 24mm, and lens width (ranges between 40 - 62mm).  We also include a frame height measurement where possible, this can vary depending on frame style.

If you require further help, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team on 03303 801 190 (Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm) for further assistance.

I already have glasses, how do I find out their size?

If you have a pair of glasses that are a perfect fit, you can usually find the frame size information on the frame - usually on the arm or the bridge.
