Festival season started with a bang this weekend as celebrities flocked to California for one of the most anticipated events of the year – Coachella. The music and arts festival is held every year in April and showcases some of the best rock, indie and hip hop artists.
However, Coachella is as much about fashion as it is about music. This weekend, everyone was watching closely to see what our favourite famous faces would be wearing – besides the obligitory cut off shorts and floral crown, of course! And here at SelectSpecs, we had our eyes peeled for the best celebrity sunglasses sightings of Coachella 2016.
From classic styles to the latest trends, there was certainly no shortage of amazing eyewear at Coachella this year, as festival goers shaded their eyes from the Californian sun in style. So…let’s take a look at some of our favourites.
Katy Perry
Katy Perry rocked her usual retro glam style at Coachella this year, wearing pastel pink cat eye shades with a sparkly headscarf and statement earrings. To steal Katy’s style, look for pink to white frames shades with a vintage twist, such as a classic Tom Ford FT0387.

Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift debuted her new beach blonde hair-do this weekend as she shared this snap with her Instagram followers. Finally, taking a break from the Coachella fun as she chilled at her Californian villa, Millie Mackintosh showed off her pool-side style in pom pom earrings and a pair of vintage-inspired shades. We’re not sure where they’re from, but they look just like the Celine CL41082/S sunglasses.
