AW17 Fashion Week Trends

Fashion Week A/W17 is over and done. From London to Paris, New York to Milan, there have been some incredible collections taken to the catwalk.

We’ve chosen and rounded up our favourite trends from each Fashion Week. Here’s what’s currently hot and some trend tidbits for next season.

Feminine Lace at New York Fashion Week

Finale: Fall 2017 at #NYFW. #themaples #fall17 #nyfwzimmermann #finale #zimmermann

If you’re a fan of frills, lacy and all things girly, then the collection by Zimmermann is absolutely perfect for you. The collection sticks with quite neutral colours making it an easy style for you to incorporate in your daily wardrobe.

Bed Head at NYFW

Have you ever woken up and groaned at the thought of having to do your hair?

Well fear not, bed hair is now in fashion. Alexander Wang’s show saw models with that messy hair look, think grunge over pristine, more undone than done up look.

This hairstyle is great for all of the lazy ones out there.

Metallics at London Fashion Week

London saw a rise in all things gold and silver thanks to JW Anderson.

His collection at LFW was filled with a lot more evening wear than we are previously used to. Metallic colours instantly add the right amount of glam to any occasion.

Princess-Chic at LFW

Her collection is described as ‘Contemporary Cinderella’ and the pieces in the range certainly fit.

Most notably, the slider style shoes in the collection, which range from glittering silver and gold, to diamante buckles and bows, guarantee to make any lady feel like a princess.

Patent Leather at Milan Fashion Week

Patent Leather: a key feature at Milan Fashion Week this year, particularly at Fendi’s show.

Their red, sky-high, patent boots were a star piece on the catwalk. If you’re looking for a pair of shoes, or boots, to really turn heads, then we think we’ve found your perfect pair!

Suits at MFW

If you’re not one for dresses, but more into jackets and trousers, then the collections at Milan Fashion Week would be a dream come true.

At the Dolce and Gabbana show, as you can see from the image above, suits took over the catwalk. With vibrant and bold prints, wearing an outfit similar to this will make you the star of any event!

Over sized Glasses at MFW

If you’re looking for an accessory trend, then we’ve found the perfect one for you.

Gucci’s A/W17 collection demonstrated how oversized frames are the new ‘it’ glasses. The bigger sized frames, the better! Whether you want to get oversized sunglasses or frames, prescription or non prescription, choose a pair that literally covers half of your face.

These aviator style glasses are a great pair to suit this trend. Aviators are synonymous for cool.

Intense Leather at Paris Fashion Week

It seemed that the favourable colour and fabric at Paris Fashion Week was black leather.

Featured in many collections from Balmain to Acne Studios, this is a popular trend we will be seeing going into Autumn and Winter 2017.

Many models were dressed in head-to-toe leather, which creates a sort of ‘dangerous woman’ meets sleek, powerful female persona.

Shearling at PFW

Pink always warms you up #KENZOFW17

A post shared by KENZO (@kenzo) on

If there’s one thing that everyone is concerned about during Autumn and Winter is keeping warm.

Is there a way to look both stylish and warm during winter? The answer to that is yes, thanks to the Shearling trend.

With a range of different colours, from more natural colours such as tan and black, to the more extreme colours, as seen in Kenzo (above) and Hermès.

Will you brave enough to go bold or stay classic?
