Luxury fashion label BOSS are at it again with their latest eyewear collection. Not only have they released an array of stylish new frames for summer 2016, but there’s another amazing campaign to go with it.
Shot in black and white, “Master the Light” plays on the concept of brightness and darkness; the interplay of light and architecture, creating sunshine and shade. Filmed in Santiago de Chile, the film stars models Clément Chabernaud and Rianne van Rompaey and introuduces a collection of new sunglasses and optical frames for men and women.

Master the Light showcases a new range of eyewear from BOSS which is now available at SelectSpecs. The collection includes smart sunglasses and glasses that are contemporary in style and crafted to the highest quality. Reflecting the unique BOSS approach to design, the frames feature a range of exciting materials, textured and colours to suit every taste, from retro-inspired round frames to classic wayfarers in wood and acetate.
So without further ado, let’s take a closer look at some of our new favourites from the BOSS 2016 eyewear collection.
In the Shade: Contemporary Sunglasses
BOSS Eyewear’s new collection of sunglasses are an ode to craftsmanship. Natural wood is seamlessly blended with modern materials in a range of colours and finishes to create a sophisticated look. Modeled by campaign star Clement Chabernaud, the men’s collection features a modern-meets-retro feel, with classic shapes and distinctive designs.
In the Master the Light campaign video, Clement Chabernaud wears the BOSS 0777/S sunglasses. These stylish shades feature rounded tortoiseshell frames made from glossy acetate with a statement double bridge and arms made from real wood.
Another stand out style from the collection is the BOSS 0776/S sunglasses. These men’s shades feature a classic wayfarer frame that will add a modern accent to outfits. The 0776 glasses are available in a range of colours, but these bold blue lenses and tortoiseshell frames create an interesting juxtaposition against the natural wood arms.
The Master the Light campaign video also featured some elegant women’s sunglasses which were beautifully modeled by Rianne van Rompaey in the video. As you can see, the BOSS ladies eyewear collection for 2016 has a feminine feel with rounded and cat-eye shapes in a range of modern colours and bold designs.
The BOSS 0794/S sunglasses feature a fresh and modern look in a range of colours, including this soft kahki havana design which is perfect for summer. Round acetate frames and gradient lenses give them an attractive and on-trend look; the “IT” piece of the ladies eyewear collection.
Another favourite from the collection is the BOSS 0793/S sunglasses. These ladies shades feature a similar rounded design with glossy acetate frames but have been given a contemporary edge with metal bridge detail. Choose from a range of colours including pink, grey, tortoiseshell and classic black with havana detail on the sides.
See the Light: Vintage-Inspired Frames
If BOSS’s sunglasses collection represents the “shade” aspect of their latest campaign, the optical range brings light. With styles for both men and women, BOSS describes their new frame designs as “retro-inspired” with prescription glasses that feature classic tortoiseshell and contemporary colour-block detail.
The ladies glasses collection will brighten up your eyewear look in an instant, with lightweight acetate frames and summer-ready colours. The BOSS 0795 glasses feature flattering round frames in a mottled pink havana pattern, as worn by Rianne van Rompaey in the campaign.
Alternatively, the collection also features these contemporary wayfarer frames for a simple but stylish look. The BOSS 0792 glasses are a great choice for SS16, available in a range of great colours including classic black, tortoiseshell brown and this beautiful on-trend blush shade.
For men who want stylish glasses, BOSS continues their use of natural materials and unique styling through to their men’s optical collection. Vintage-inspired frames are crafted from wood and finished with rubber and metal accents for a statement look that perfectly complements a suit and tie.
The BOSS 0778 glasses are the must-have style of the season for men. As seen in the “Master the Light” campaign, these amazing specs feature vintage-esque rounded frames in premium acetate while the arms are crafted from real wood carved with the Hugo Boss logo.
Last but not least, the BOSS 0779 glasses feature a modern and masculine wayfarer frame but have been given that special BOSS touch thanks to a quirky use of materials. These exclusive frames feature a mix of grey tortoiseshell alongside light wood and red rubber inside. A great way to add a subtle touch of colour to your everyday style.
