The MTV Video Music Awards are best known to be an annual awards ceremony, celebrating the best in popular music over the last year.
This year’s event was held on the evening of the 12th September 2021 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York City.
It was hosted by American rapper/singer Doja Cat and featured a range of live musical performances from artists such as Kim Petras, Olivia Rodrigo and Foo Fighters.
In addition to this, there were several awards handed out on the night including the likes of ‘Artist of the Year’ and the ‘MTV Global Icon Award’, which were won by Justin Bieber and Foo Fighters respectively.
