The two catwalk stars join forces once again in the extension of Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2015 campaign, this time to show off their new eyewear range. Named the Garbardine collection, which takes the same name as the fabric made to use the timeless Burberry trench coat.
Designed in Britain but painstakingly handmade in Italy, the metal used was crafted through the same specialist processes as fine jewelry to recreate the draped or twisted characteristics of delicate and feminine Garbardine – as seen in Burberry’s official video below.
The new campaign released shadows Chanel’s recent eyewear campaign with Kristen Stewart, whom Karl Lagerfield handpicked especially, or is it Chanel shadowing Burberry? Both undoubtedly successful campaigns captures its models wearing both optical and sunglasses for the new collections.
Shot by Mario Testino, who also photographed Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne together for last year’s Burberry perfume campaign, seems like there’s a theme running here. Which two supermodels could be in front of Mario’s lens next year? Guesses on the back of a postcard please (or in the comments section below.)
