Change Your Mindset To Change Your Life

We all know that saying. It is a pretty famous idiom that has universal meaning. Germans use the “rosa-rote Brille” and Spanish speakers the “gafas de color rosa,” although for the French it is the “pink life” or “la vie en rose.” But what does it really mean?

Sure, the general audience would interpret seeing life through rose-coloured glasses as a way of looking at a situation and thinking it to be more positive than it is in reality and we are told to take off the rose-coloured glasses and confront real life.

But again, let’s be honest for a second, why are we told to take them off? Why is a positive opinion about something taken as a distorted attitude to the reality of the situation? Besides, isn’t reality a rather objective view and what’s red for you might be rose for me?

I believe this saying needs a total make over.

Embrace Change

It is time to accept changes in life without having to remove the rose-tinted glasses, because it is the positive attitude that aspires us to dare stepping into the changes, and it is this attitude that accompanies us through the undesirable feelings.

If you are the kind of person that favours to see life through rose-tinted glasses because it makes you feel at ease with yourself, then do it. Anxiety comes from denying who you are and your personal needs. So stop being afraid.

It is a brave act to opt for the rose-coloured view because many people are afraid that they might be disappointed by their own expectations.

In staying honest with your own thoughts and not letting any outside social interactions influence you, you become more confident with your choices and you reassure yourself  that can trust your own gut.

Visualization

Another point is that by accepting your imagination, you embrace the possible and as a result you feel more thankful for the time and emotions you have invested.

Of course, you need to be aware that things don’t always turn out the way you planned.

Life may take a different route from what was expected, but by welcoming your most inner feelings and thoughts and embracing them as a part of your being, you will find fulfillment with yourself.

Expectations eventually become an obsolete and extra part of the learning process.

Mentally strong people are not afraid of rose-coloured spectacles and accept their emotions, their thoughts and know how to act towards themselves. This includes interactions with other people.

But most importantly, they are aware of beauty and darkness at the same time.

The Conclusion

So go ahead, wear you beautiful rose-coloured glasses, show them off, inspire the world by telling others how confident you are. Seeing the world through your rose-coloured shades will allow you to see that you are right where you are supposed to be in life, that you accept the changes in life, and that you are not afraid.

This will give you peace of mind. Enjoy it while it lasts, and embrace the possible. Even the decisions that might seem wrong first will lead you to the right place.

Therefore, seeing life through rose-coloured sunglasses is courageous and only for the brave!
