Wimbledon is best known for being a popular Grand Slam tennis tournament, originating in 1877.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the championships had to be cancelled last year, but it successfully returned in 2021!
This year’s tournament was held between the 28th June – 11th July 2021 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London.
Many big names from the world of tennis took to the courts to play for the prestigious trophy at the end of the two week period. Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray and Roger Federer were a few of the main contenders.
Novak Djokovic was the overall winner of the Men’s Singles and Ashleigh Barty was the champion in the Women’s Singles tournament to name a few.
Aside from the tennis, there were also some fantastic examples of celebrity fashion and eyewear during Wimbledon this year!

David Beckham
British footballer David Beckham was spotted in the Wimbledon crowd during the championships!
Mr Beckham opted to wear a suave and sophisticated ensemble for the occasion, consisting of a blue and white pinstripe shirt and matching navy trousers.
He chose to layer up with a beige coloured blazer, featuring stylish tortoiseshell buttons.
In terms of accessories, he went simple with a black wristwatch, a navy spotted tie and a pair of Ray-Ban style shades.

Tom Cruise
American actor Tom Cruise was spotted watching the tennis at Wimbledon recently with his girlfriend, Hayley Atwell.
Cruise sported a simple yet stylish ensemble during this match. He wore a plain white collared shirt and a metallic gold striped tie, styled up with a navy coloured suit jacket.

McFly and McBusted star Tom Fletcher was pictured at Wimbledon this year with his wife, Giovanna.
