You get what you pay for!

I used a recent prescription to test the services of selectspecs rather than use my usual supplier. I needed new specs for a forthcoming holiday and allowed over two weeks for delivery but unfortunately they took 16 days and not the stated 7 - 10 days, so I went on holiday without them. On trying on the glasses they were a bit on the small side and, I thought, a little flimsy, though they were very light. The biggest problem though was when I went to put them back in the glasses case - in folding the (unhinged) glasses, they collapsed, with the bridge of the glasses breaking off from the lenses. I now have to go through the process of re-packing and returning the glasses to get them rebuilt. So over a month after my original order I still do not have a usable pair of glasses and have been back to my original supplier to get a replacement. I am glad that I only spent £81 on these glasses because if I had spent the £200-300 on a "luxury" pair (as I normally would) I would now be extremely unhappy.
