Unless you camped outside Regent Street’s H&M store in London from 10pm the night before and queued for hours in the pouring rain – or unless you had three laptops and four tablets on the go since midnight pressing refresh like a robot – or unless you forked out a month’s wages for the inflated reseller prices on ebay, then like the rest of us, you’ll have missed out on the exclusive Balmain x H&M pieces. Pff! We didn’t even want that beaded Balmain jacket dress anyway (ok, we so did).
The world went completely nutty for the high street / designer collaboration, which was promoted heavily by models such as Jourdan Dunn and Kendall Jenner. Crazy shopper behaviour over collabs have happened before – and they’ll happen again. So there’s really no need to feel disappointed. Instead, let’s turn our attention to the Balmain models, as selected by famous designer Olivier Rousteing. These models are hot. They are so ‘now’. They are Rousteing’s bezzies. And they are all totally tuned in on social media.
As we’ve been doing some model stalking (and wishing desperately that we could be a part of their friendship group), we noticed that these girls are no stranger to a pair of specs or sunnies. In fact, they all have a bit of a spectacle obsession it seems. Jourdan Dunn is a total babe and when we’re not busy being sick to the stomach of her hot bod on Instagram, we’re swooning over her choice in designer clothes and accessories.
