Here at SelectSpecs, we always like to keep an eye out for celebrities wearing glasses and this week it was Jessica Hart who caught our attention.
As she attended the hottest shows of New York Fashion Week, the Australian model shared not just one, but two bespectacled looks that were decidedly geek chic.
Wearing glasses seems to be a new thing for her, so are they a necessity or has she just discovered a new look she loves? We don’t know, but we think she’s definitely pulling it off either way!

Gorgeous Geek Chic Glasses
What better way to turn heads at Fashion Week than with a fabulous new look? Jessica was the epitome of ‘geek chic’ as she attended the Zimmerman show, wearing a sophisticated grey roll neck jumper with a classic beige trench coat and a fabulous finishing touch – a pair of thick-rimmed glasses.

Earlier the same day, Jessica shared this front row snap of herself and some showbiz friends in which she was wearing the same stylish get up and, of course, her statement black-framed specs.
We don’t know about you, but we can’t get enough of this trend-setting style. It’s a classic look, but her slightly thicker than normal frames manages to be bold and contemporary at the same time. Major style points to Jessica!
To get the look for yourself, swap your usual style for a pair of thick-rimmed black rectangular frames such as the Diesel DL5062 glasses. Team them with neutral colours and classic cuts to nail that geek chic look.
On-Trend Over-sized Specs
Not just content with setting trends in one pair of glasses, Jessica showcased another amazing style just a few days later.
Posing like her true model self in Calvin Klein jeans, Isabel Marant boots and a Ferragamo fur coat, her second style of choice featured a retro-inspired over-sized style. Her square-framed glasses are finished in tortoiseshell for a classic look that we love.

The dedicated fashionista wore the same pair to the Dion Lee 2016 show on Valentine’s Day, where she paired her new glasses with a casual combination of jeans and Converse trainers.
If you want to steal Jessica Hart’s style (and who wouldn’t?!) this look is so simple to achieve. The Hallmark B81110 feature the same over-sized square frames in tortoiseshell but come without the Fashion Week price tag, at only £29.50. Just add a faux fur coat for that en vogue finishing touch.
