With less than three weeks until the big day, there’s a Christmassy feeling in the air. The decorations are up, Mariah Carey is on the radio again and the weekly shop now consists of mince pies, mulled wine and metres of wrapping paper. Are you feeling fully festive yet? Well X Factor judge Cheryl Fernandez Versini certainly is judging by her latest Instagram post.
Cheryl showed off her fun side on Sunday night when she shared this snap of her dressed as a reindeer – Rudolph the red nosed reindeer to be exact. Her costume consisted of a pair of festive over-sized glasses complete with glittery antlers and a red nose. While this would be a hard look for most people to pull off, Cheryl managed to make her latest accessory look super cute. She captioned the post ‘feeling festive’ and she certainly looks festive too!
While novelty glasses aren’t exactly our remit here at SelectSpecs, we do have some festive-feeling specs that are sure to leave you full of Christmas cheer. Glasses are a great way to jazz up an outfit for a special occasion, but you don’t have to go all out like Cheryl. If you’re looking for the perfect accessory for the Christmas season, the right pair of glasses will add a subtle touch of yuletide joy to any outfit without looking over the top. Plus, you can wear them after December too!
Instead of wearing a boring Christmas jumper this year, get into the spirit like Cheryl with a pair of fun glasses from SelectSpecs. To help you out, here are our three favourite pairs of festive glasses to choose from.
Miu Miu MU03LV
If there’s a time for glitter, it’s got to be Christmas. The Miu Miu MU03LV glasses just scream Christmas to us, with frames that features more glitter than a Christmas tree. The glamorous glasses are finished in an amazing sparkly gold with vintage-inspired cat eye frames for a stylish edge.
William Morris Eternal Fancy
Aptly named, the William Morris Eternal Fancy glasses are perfect for all of those special occasions and Christmas parties that occur over the festive period. These gorgeous glasses have a subtle sparkling look with silver glitter horn-rimmed frames and gold metal detail that would look amazing with a little black dress for the office party.
There’s no colour that’s more festive that red; it’s the colour of holly berries, Santa’s famous suit and Rudolph’s shiny nose. If you want to add some ‘ho ho ho’ to a happy holiday outfit, a pair of red frames is just what you need. The Massimo A106 glasses feature glossy red frames that look great all year round, but are especially suited to the Christmas season.
