Soccer Style Hero: Rio Ferdinand

Manchester United is one of the most loved football clubs in the world and their recent history is related to our modern day hero: Rio Ferdinand.

The former captain of the Red Devils is now a loving father to his three kids and football pundit for BT Sport.

Smashing on the tv screen, Rio is a fashion icon for every young boy as his style combines elements from the Italian or British school of fashion.

With every outfit, he shows that everything is under control as nothing is done by accident.

Flamboyant, stylish, elegant or funky, his clothes can be put in the handbook of fashion, but no more talk. Let’s talk facts.

Formal Gold

Being a TV pundit requires accurate outfits. And Rio adores wearing black Oxford shoes, slim fit trousers and shirts.

After all, David Beckham is not the only Man. United player to have developed a taste in fashion. At 6 ft 2, he knows that choosing the right attire is essential for a TV personality and that’s why he is so loved.

Never afraid to step up and wear a suit, Ferdinand is one of the biggest fashion icons football has ever produced. And we have a photo gallery to prove his A+ mark at Formal 101. Ties and bow ties included.

There is no surprise he is an expert in sporty style. With a dark colored hat, pair of black urban trousers and a nice hoodie, Rio adds a stylish touch of pink shoes.

Yep, that’s the spirit of a fashion icon. On the other side, while working out, he prefers a white slim-fit shirt instead of a gym vest, but we can only salute his choice as it brings style and color.

And what better proof of his fashion skills do we need as he launched his own clothing brand: FIVE.

The name is inspired by the number worn for Man United T-shirt and fans can buy caps or T-shirts.

Italian Style

The Louis Vuitton Paris Fashion Show is not the first place you would think to meet a former football player.

But guess what? Rio is the proud exception. Dressed in a casual black suit, he showed us he attended all the fashion courses, especially the ones with Italian style.

Going sock-less is a habit for every Italian as the sunny weather and leather shoes create the perfect environment for a fashion statement.

In Ferdinand’s case, he chose white sneakers from Adidas and the whole black and white image is perfect. Well done, #5!

Eyewear Connossier

Choosing the right pair of sunglasses is not an easy task, but he steals the show once again.

Classy and high-rated, this is how we can describe his option as it is the one and only Ray-Ban RB3539. A full-rimmed pair with tiny frames and guaranteed cool design.

With a 5 star rating on our website, this is an affordable and classic choice for every sunglasses lover who adores the simple and discrete Ray-Ban pairs. Never doubt the power of a £75 investment.
