What you should know

Frame Condition
Frames must be in good original condition and not liable to break during the glazing process. Frames should not be adapted or repainted in any way.

Semi-Rimless/Rimless Frames
Semi-Rimless/Rimless frames must have at least one non-broken lens in order to be reglazed.

Curved Frames / Oversized Lenses
Unfortunately, we're unable to reglaze frames or sunglasses with a curvature or large lenses. Please contact us if you're unsure if your frame is suitable.

Varifocal/Progressive Lenses
If you're choosing to reglaze a frame with varifocal/progressive lenses, please ensure the minimum height of your frame is 26mm. Unfortunately we're unable to glaze a frame with varifocal lenses if the height is less than this.

All reglazes are done at the customers own risk. Ensure your frames are sent to us via an insured method, we cannot be held responsible for frames lost in the post.

Please note

In these cases we will contact you to advise you and return your frame and offer a refund. Unfortunately, we cannot refund postage fees.

If you feel your frames may not be suitable for reglaze or would like advice, please contact us (include a picture of the frame if possible) and we'll be happy to assist you before you place your order.

  Reglaze money saver

24th February 2013

I had a minor prescription adjustment to one eye and my local optician offered to change one plain lens, with only anti-reflection coating, for £56.

I had the frames reglazed by Selectspecs as follows: Both lenses made as bifocals, fully coated for only £50 the pair. Excellent work!

  Badly Scratched Lens

30th January 2013

I had my glasses reglazed a little over a month ago and all seemed well when the glasses arrived, however the right lens is becoming very scratched (despite the "Anti-Scratch coating") which means that it is becoming harder to see out that particular lens. I haven't been abusive with the glasses, I've kept it in a hard case and used a microfibre cloth to clean the lens but the lens is still becoming scratched. I may well have to get them reglazed elsewhere.

SelectSpecs.com says...
Hi, sorry to hear this, this may be a case of the coatings coming away rather than the lens being scratched but it's hard to give an answer without seeing the problem. Please contact our customer services team regarding this issue and they should be able to help find a solution to this problem.

  Regalaze of Police Semi-Rimless glasses

19th January 2013

I was very pleased with the quality and speed of service for the reglaze of my Police semi-rimless glasses, originally purchased from Select Specs. My order was sent on 11 December and returned on 21 December, completed in 8 working days! This was despite the Christmas postal period. My prescription had changed, and I can read with ease again, thank you !

3rd January 2013

The finished reglaze was excellent. I had had some problems with the orginal prescription but the Customer Service Department was very helpful and the problem was sorted out quickly and efficiently. Thank you for your excellent service.

I didn't know what services to ask for so I got the wrong thing...

1st January 2013

I didn't know how to ask for the glasses to be made without the circles that bifocals can have, and I still don't know. I ended up with my glasses that have a little circle in the bottom that I'm supposed to look through. I should have realized that a reglazing that was so inexpensive would be missing something-and it was. If I can figure out the correct thing to ask for, I might send them back and try again.

SelectSpecs.com says...
Not sure what the problem is here as your review is a little unclear. It looks like you chose "R28 Round segment Bifocal", we do "D" shaped Bifocals and these may be more suitable for you.

If you drop our customer services team an email about this they should be able to assist you further.
