The boys are back, older, grayer and more explosive than ever for the 3rd installment of the Expendables!

This time out Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Lundgren, Statham, Li and Crews are joined by new comers Banderas, Snipes, Gibson, Ford, Lutz… and some others (but unfortunately not including Chuck Norris, Van Damme or Bruce Willis this time… perhaps they finally realised they’re just too old for this sh*t?!) for more of the same run and gun action as the previous 2 movies.

It’s guaranteed to be a fun ‘leave your brain at the door’ popcorn movie, with more action than you can shake a stick at, but lets face it it’s unlikely to win any oscars for acting!

This time out Barney and his team will be in conflict with a badass arms dealer known as Stonebanks (Mel Gibson) who was an Expendable’s co-founder.  Will he be defeated or will Stonebanks destroy the Expendables gang? Find out when the film is released from August 2014.

Sunglasses from the Expendables

We’ve checked out the brand new trailer for Expendables 3 and have noticed some of the key characters wearing some great sunglasses, check them out below:

Sylvester Stallone

The leader of the Expendables team, Barney Ross, is wearing the timeless Ray-Ban Aviator RB3025 with a mirror finish – you can find these here. Hard to believe this guy is nearly in his 70’s!

Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnie who stars as “Trench” can be seen wearing a classic pair of Ray-Ban RB3362 Cockpit sunglasses. This is a great twist on the normal pilot style aviator frame. Like it? Find more on our on our website here.

Side note: While on the subject of Arnie, you can’t go without watching this video of Schwarzenegger’s greatest quotes! “Get to the Choppppppaaaa…”

Harrison Ford

Mr Indiana Jones himself stars as “Max Drummer” who wears a stylish pair of what looks to be an unbranded pair of pilot style aviator frames.  On closer inspection it appears the lenses have been removed and replaced with tinted prescription lenses – it is likely that the frame is a Ray-Ban 3025 Aviator but we’re unable to confirm this.

Jason Statham

Jason turns up again as Lee Christmas wearing the ever popular and fashionable Oliver Peoples Sanford.

Edit: One of our readers has suggested these are not actually Sanfords, on second viewing we’d agree, we think these may actually be Ray-Ban RB3136 Aviator Caravans available from here. They match the style perfectly!

Jet Li

We’ve looked, we’ve searched, but we cannot ID the sunglasses Yin Yang is wearing.  If you can ID them, please leave a comment below… 🙂

  1. Statham is not wearing oliver peoples.
The temple arms are to thin and the bridge across his nose is straight not bent as they are on oliver peoples.

  2. It says Stallone has the mirrored finish…but which mirrored finish is it?….silver? ….silver flash
It looks black to me but it doesn’t look like they have that option on the Ray-Ban site.

    1. Without seeing the film it’s hard to say for certain. It’s likely that there’s some CGI going on here so they’re probably not mirrored at all.

  3. What is THE specifiek nr. Sunglases (Ray-Ban Aviator RB3025 with a mirror finish)of Stallone ???

  4. Barneys Aviators, per Ray-Ban:
The image investigate was for a RB3025 Color 003/40. Grey Mirror.

    1. It looks like something in blue.. And the reflection is coming on glasses that means it is a mercury finish.. Can anyone help with the exact color code.. Select specs waiting for your reply..

    1. RB3513 154/6G 58-15) Flat metal, Gray mirror. – these are the exact specs that Stallone wore in Exp. 3 ?
