**Free Single Vision Basic lenses are available for the majority of full rim frames with a prescription range of SPH ±6.00 and CYL ±2.00 powers with an average PD measurement (63mm), however this can vary depending on your prescription as follows:-
  • Plus Spherical powers and Minus Cylinder powers: SPH +6.00 CYL -2.00
  • Plus Spherical powers and Plus Cylinder powers: SPH +4.00 CYL +2.00
  • Minus Spherical powers and Minus Cylinder powers: SPH -4.00 CYL -2.00
  • Minus Spherical powers and Plus Cylinder powers: SPH -6.00 CYL +2.00
Original Manufacturer Lenses
Please note that during the glazing process, the original manufacturer lenses are removed from the frame and replaced with our lenses made to your prescription requirements. Branded prescription lenses are not included.

Good glasses but not six pound specs! Communication was a bit confusing particularly with the customer services department where inexperience seemed evident.on the whole though communication was prompt I got the glasses a lot quicker than I had been advised which was a pleasant surprise. The glasses themselves are excellent- we’ll have to see how durable they are. Their advertising makes much of £6 specs - well maybe if you want a fairly limited choice of frames and you don’t have a complex prescription. All in all though still good value. One small niggle is they are delivered in a very flimsy sort of plastic pouch case which I wouldn’t trust to use so I’m using an old case I happened to have. Everything said I now have a pair of glasses that provide excellent sight and are comfortable to wear.

Something a bit different and still stylish

I have previously ordered from SelectSpecs for prescription sunglasses and was very pleased - they were on my previous single vision prescription and they still work OK both for sun-screening and vision (and how often do we see the sun in the UK?). My new prescription was for varifocals, a little different and I chose different frame style. That said, the specs work well although maybe the arms are a little short for absolute comfort and fit and they have taken a bit of getting used to as I find myself turning my head more to gain absolute clarity in certain conditions but not an issue once I got used to them. At the price I have no complaints after I broke my old varifocals (from a high street shop) whilst on holiday and was faced with a far higher cost for replacement as they were deemed by them to be beyond repair. I will certainly return to SelectSpecs when or if my specs get broken again or if my prescription changes.

Super value, good quality, but need to take a risk for the style

Can't ask for more for this price and quality, nice blue light coating, size just as description, lenses just the same as prescription provided. The only problem is that you need to take risk to buy glasses online, small details change how you look entirely and you can't see the details unless you try it on for real.
