Competitive pricing but, questionable quality...

I had previously purchased similar style glasses from the loweest price band & the build quality was very poor so, I decided to spend more thinking this would result in a better product. Unfortunately, the build quality was just as poor; in particular the arm construction was described as 'metal' this is a very loose description, as the plastic arms contain a thin metal rod to allow for distortion & adjusting the fit, but the whole assembly is flimsy & feels loose. In addition, although I was very careful to measure the arm length of existing glasses to get the required fit, the supplied glasses have a much longer arm. I have previously ordered glasses from other online suppliers e.g. Glasses Direct & the standard of construction has been far superior to SelectSpecs... NB. Waited a long time for the glasses to arrive due to bank holiday's affecting the "working days" caveat.

Fit: Moderately Large

Look really nice. Plastic frame feels a little cheap and easy to break, but serviceable.

I have designer glasses which I paid a lot more for before these, but the lenses are badly scratched. These look better in the style, but you can tell they are cheap because of the plastic frame being a little creaky. It feels like if I manhandled them the lenses would pop out so I have to be delicate. Once they are on though, this is forgotten about and the cheap plastic means they are lighter than my previous metal frames. The fit is good and they offer good range of bendability in the arms and nose to get right. My right ear is slightly lower than my left so I bend the right arm down to suit so they look symmetrical on my face. The blue colour is kind of deep, so they look black in low light or at angles where the light isn't directly reflecting off them. You see the blue when it's shiny. Wasn't sure if I liked this at first but it's grown on me as it makes the paint job look more expensive.
