Our very first creation was a bike grip with a unique design that fit the rider's closed hand, and to honor warriors on wheels, we put the grip pattern on the outer facing of the earsocks. They are an innovation inspired by the leaf springs of racing machines, and they don't push the earstems into your head like inferior designs that maintain relentless pressure. Oakley is renowned for optical technology, their innovations in frame architecture have always been the gold standard for precision, performance, durability and design. The latest Oakley breakthrough is a hinge mechanism that comes in two forms: MONO SHOCK and TWIN SHOCK, developed for Rx eyewear and sunglasses. Inspired by pro racing, the structures are similar to leaf springs used for shock absorption. MONO SHOCK has a single "tine&dquo; (a slender projecting part, like the tines of a fork) that bridges the frame and the ear stem. TWIN SHOCK utilizes two.
